I thought stimulants were supposed to make your heart beat pound, fast and strong? My pulse beats fast, buts its very weak... Is that from fatigue? because I have been up atleast 24 hours straight on Adderall. Also does anyone have slow breathing or feel weird breathing when on this stuff??? Its like instead of taking small breaths consistently like a normal human being I'm exhaling, then pausing and taking a deep breath in and then out after a few seconds and pause again for about 5 to 10 seconds. Weird huh? I'm twacked so sorry... I digress.
Thanks!! :)

I been up long periods with a greater than recommended dose of this stuff. Yes your heart will beat at a greater rate but the pounding would come after some physical exertion. If I'm just kicked back and not doing much, usually hours after the main effects, I can check my pulse and find it to beat as fast as if I just went for a solid jog, but without pounding.. The pounding would come as a result of running up a flight of stairs, shuffling, or having a lil quality time with my girl ;) as for any breathing differences, I feel fine. Caffeine and pre-workout supplements like n.o. plasmacore and hemo-rage will fuck up my breathing like that tho.

I feel like amphetamines speed up my breathing as well as everything else. It can be quite uncomfortable sometimes. Does this happen to anyone, and does anyone know why? When I crash I my breathing slows down alot and all I want to do is sleep.
Thanks for the reply.

Is this a joke? Amphetamine (aka SPEED) is a stimulant, so it kicks your bodily functions into overdrive. Then when it leaves your system, your body reacts to the extra work by wanting to rest.

Speed is a stimulant? Thanks for this obscure information. I thought I'd never get to the bottom of my insomnia!!

I just wanted to know why I always hyperventilate while on the stuff. I don't understand why amphetamines would cause me to need, or think I need more oxygen (or start hyperventilating for whatever reason).
Seriously I don't think anyone could possibly stay up for 24 hours on a drug known as speed and be dumb enough to not realize it's a stimulant. I meant to ask why does my breathing speed up/slow down while I'm high/crashing.

Because taking recreational stimulants kicks up your adrenaline. Your body goes into a mild fight-or-flight mode, so you begin to hyperventilate because your body thinks you will be in a physical situation soon.
I'm sorry for stating the obvious above, but I thought that the answer to your question would be obvious.

Ah its ok. I actually feel slightly stoopid for asking that now haha... I'm positive I've read that multiple times before.
