Uppers and Colds/immune system effects?

If 'you' have a cold (not flu); sore throat, full-head, stuffy/runny nose, etc.. Will doing uppers (amphetamine, dexamphetamine, methylphenidate..) post-pone the healing process?

I never had a problem with opioids, they didn't seem to negatively effect the immune system or anything. Uppers, however, seem like they would do just that. So, I'm wondering if it's true or if anybody has experience with using while ill?

Thanks...

Most likely yes, but not to any large degree.

Excessive use of amphetamines will make you sick eventually. They suppress the immune system. However, they also make great decongestants. I use ephedrine when I'm sick and it works wonders, dexamphetamine is usually overkill and I certainly stay sick longer, even though I feel 110% better when I'm on the amphetamines.

Stick with opiates while you're sick if you can.
