Stimulants upper arm swollen after shot

So I did a shot of some shit (crystal) and about 5 minutes alter i start to get the idea or feeling that my left upper arm is swollen.

I know I didnt hit an artery, at least im pretty sure. No pain, no blood shooting. I have been hitting the same spot for like 3 weeks (not every day maybe like twice a week).

I feel like when I lift my arm above my head the swelling goes down.

I have been up for a night, maybe I am delusional.

However it seems very real. I have been thinking this for about an hour, so I thik something lethal should have happened by now. However, it still feels like my upper arm is more like filling up with blood.

Is this possible? Anyone know whats wrong? Am I just spun?

The reason I'm not going to a doctor is that there is a good chance it's just in my head. (I've had all kinds of hallucinations from speed)

If you shot meth into an artery in your arm, your hand would be swollen up like a balloon.

I think you're probably just spun.
 
Theres nothing like my vein is blocked so im retaining blood in my arm?
 
I mean, yeah, there's always a chance that you could have a clot, but your body is like to sort that out eventually. Your arms have many veins, and if one were occluded, the others would do extra duty in taking over for the single blocked vessel.

No medical advice on here? I've seen numerous threads about people who thought they have missed! I apologize for breaking guidelines but I find it a little absurd that there is no medical advice allowed when this is supposed to be a harm reduction site.

Anyways if you could answer just one more, that would be saint like of you. If one vein were clotted, would my arm swell? Would be very thankful if you could answer this one more, I am in a very unpleasant situation
 
We do talk about general knowledge health questions, yes, but it's impossible to establish a proper provider-patient relationship on the internet, diagnose without examining your, etc. Not to mention it's impossible to know what someone's actual qualifications are.

If you had a serious vein occlusion, your entire arm, not just your upper arm, would be swelling up.

NP at all. Take some magnesium, stay hydrated, and try to find something to keep you entertained. If you really are having lasting side-effects from IV use of meth, you should definitely go to a 24 hour urgent care, or alternately the ER.

I think you're just spun tbh.

And I have multiple collapsed veins and the blood just finds a different way around, I didn't experience any swelling. I think it would be particulalry weird for just your upper arm to be swollen as opposed to your hand or fingers.

Get some sleep, maybe take an nsaid, and re-evaluate when sober. Or better yet get someone elses opinion so you can calm down about it. But if for some reason you truly feel you're in danger you should seek medical attention.

I am guessing that when you did your hit, it probably burned some at the injection site. I used to do speed that way for 4 or 5 years, and I've never had very good veins. Therefore I have missed a few times and have had to deal with the misses abscessing. What seems to help is to try to dissipate the knot under your skin by using something like a rolling pin on it, and just repetitively massage it out if you can stand it. In a few days, if you notice the site abscessing (getting very red and sore and developing a scab-like appearance on the surface) you really need to watch it, because there are a lot of bacteria that can really fuck you up. You need to keep the site clean and covered. Then you need to get hot water in a tub- as hot as you can stand- and submerge the abscessed area and keep it under the water for at least 10 full minutes. When you take it out of the water, it will be very softened and if you squeeze the area, you should start seeing runny, bloody puss coming out. You want to repeat this process as long as you still get stuff coming out of it. Hopefully what you have going on won't get to that point.
 
in my opinion i believe your just spun, lol!....lay off the needle tho man it will ruin your body, which im sure you dont care about till you meet jebuz
