Unusual Ketamine Experiance

So I tried K for the first time, dosed 20mgs to be safe and felt it within about 10 minutes slowly happening. And it was okay despite the fact I had company I wasn't expecting, but when alone I tried it again and I just felt depressed and as if I was alone in the world.
Perhaps it isn't my sort of drug, but the experience was so weird I felt so out of control despite only having a small amount. Could be bad scales, I had been drinking about 3 energy drinks the day before so maybe that's why. I was also on Modafinil 200mg which made me anxious so I took some downers for that. Silly I know will be more prepared next time
I had a similar experience on MXE except on K I had a warm after glow and felt like trying it again lol, what do you guys thing? Thanks!

Fuck mxe, if it was ketamine I don't think you'd be depressed. Might just be me though. Ketamine is the only clean psychedelic dissociative.

i used to enjoy ketamine more, nowadays i find it kind of boring on its own. i like to be on MDMA or MDA or something like it when i break out the K. if i were you i would try a bit more next time, to get a better feel for the experience.

ketamine is not a very social drug, typically it makes talking, communicating, moving and thinking very difficult. most of the time i end up zoning out in a meditative state and let the psychedelic effects take me. when i do K by itself, it seems like more of a physical experience, like a normal downer. i have injected ketamine IM before and if you are interested in the more extreme psychedelic effects, or the K-hole, thats the way to do it (although i do not recommend using needles at all!).

i have friends who enjoy K quite a bit but it seems like they are more after the physical, recreational effects of the drug than the strange quasi-psychedelic effects it has in the head. if you still want to explore ketamine i would recommend doing a high dose and try to get into a K-hole. the smaller, recreational way of dosing is a world away from the almost near death experience that a legit K-hole gives

This post is pretty confusing. What exactly did you ingest the day that you had the "unusual Ketamine experience"? From what I gather, you had Modafinil and "some downers", but you don't indicate what you took or when before you tried the Ketamine.

Oh sorry, I took Modafinil 200mg in the morning to wake me up (first time trying it) and well it worked. Usually I take ages to wake up, I ended up cleaning my room and sorting things out but as it went on. I got anxious and I took 2mg Etiozlam. The energy drinks where a day or possibly more, I'm curious because I cannot smoke cannabis. So maybe I can't take K or it's just because of the odd situation I had this experience.
And it defiantly made talking difficult, I had so much coming into my head about life and the world. And would forget what I was saying.

Etizolam could have contributed to your emotional depression. Benzos can elicit depressive symptoms in certain subjects, even at therapeutic dosages. If you don't normally experience this when taking etizolam on its own, it may have synergized with the ketamine in an unexpected way.

It's up to you if you go ahead with another trial of only ketamine to test this.

Stay safe.

I take Etziolam daily so I most likely have a moderate tolerance, for alcohol withdrawal, however I have noticed it isn't something I need to take. For example, I take two 2mg pills each 5 to 6 hours, but I have gone on with the day and it's been hours before I realized I hadn't taken it. And I still didn't feel out of sorts, perhaps my tolerance getting in the way of it. I do remember taking a Etiozlam in the morning and one later that day when the Modafinil made me anxious.
I understand what you're saying, I may go ahead and do a clean trial to see what the effects are with accurate scales and the perfect timing.

Dont they have doctors over there in the uk? That etizolam use of yours doesn't remotely remind me of my own benzo usage. Not to mention etizolam is some fucking weird diazapine that gives people eye twitches.

The tried and true ones have the least side effects, please get a doctor.

I've been prescribed 5mg benzos by doctors and attempted suicide as a result, so I stay away from them. And I've never had eye twitches from etiozlam mate. Never trust doctors without research, the NHS is good because it's usually free. But they are by no means experts, the majority of the people on BL know more about the drugs that they prescribed to people.

etizolam is no worse than, and in fact, milder than, many other western benzodiazepines. all benzos have blepharospasm as a potential side effect. it's hard to find a good doctor these days that will prescribe a proper med for anxiety instead of bizarro land stuff like ADs and antipsychotics so some people (myself included) are empowered by the availability of etizolam and take treatment into their own hands. i would say that 2 mg is more like the recommended total daily dose but i have no idea how regular the OP's use is so i can't comment on that. and anyway, this discussion is not too germane to ketamine...

anyway, OP, i was going to suggest you try to smoke some trees because that always went fabulous with ketamine for me but i see you're not game for that. as others have mentioned, set and setting can be important, i think dissociatives are best enjoyed alone and maybe if you are doing K with others around or while out and about that is causing anxiety and making the trip less pleasant for you. maybe cut out the stimulants beforehand, that may also be causing anxiety? as well, any big nagging issues or underlying psychiatric maladies can be amplified when on K just like any other psychedelic... good mind set counts! i always found K to be easy, chill, pretty stoning, it should take good care of you, hard to get into much trouble with it unless you mix with other psychedelics (that can get greasy pretty quickly) or take too much and end up in the hole without really planning on it.

Just an update my new more accurate scales say I took around 300mg within a day. And the measuring spoon I had despite being small, contained 30mg or so in it. So I was snorting 60mg thinking it was a light dose. Was all down to dose, mind and history. :)

Every experience on ketamine is "weird"
That's simply what dissociatives tend to do, they're just plain weird.
As for your depression I'm not sure.
I've felt depression after heavy binges, but never during the high

Highly agree, depends on the mood I guess. Best time to take it is when your happy and not on any benzos neither due to the mood killing, and for me the paradoxical effects.
