Hey there everyone, I thought I might as well share something I find to be interesting about my experience with opiate effects.
Let me begin by giving you a little background about the way my body works (could be entirely irrelevant, but I will state it nonetheless)

Seemingly unaffected by tramadol, even at high doses, aided by several potentiation methods.
Does not consume alcohol under any circumstances.
Has a VERY fast metabolism. Very slim, been within a 5lb weight range for 18months+. Bottom 3% of weight category for age.
Has experienced many opiates in varying doses.
Is a regular poppy seed tea user - using typically high doses.

Now, what I find interesting is that upon reading literally hundreds of experiences, google searches, hours of searching, I have come up with no explanation for a certain effect opiates give me:

Extreme body pressure.

For some reason, with any opiates (less Tramadol) my body feels, when effects kick in, increasingly like my muscles are being compressed. It is almost like the pain from working out - but different in the sense that it feels different than an acid. (Which is what happens when you work out hard, to my knowledge) Sometimes almost like my body is being crushed. Usually mild respiratory depression accompanies this effect, but not always.

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or has even heard of this. If you have an explanation I would be very grateful.

Good thread idea!

When I was a wee little heroin user at age 19-20-21 (I think I was using from 19 to 20? 20 to 21? Something like that - I was living in Virginia at this time), I would get SO stimulated from a line of heroin, when EVERYONE ELSE would be nodding/doped up/laying on my sofa, puking their guts up every now and then. Other people would shit their pants on my sofa. Disgusting, I know. LOL. I'm calling out that ghetto white boy from Fredricksburg, VA. You know who you are and should be ashamed of your dope addict self.

Anyways, another example: my friend who used heroin for over 10 years (HI!!! She is a bluelighter ;)) she told me that she used heroin for a few years a certain way and then would find herself using it for a different reason. Like she got stimulation like I did from heroin for a few years, then she would NOD for a few years, then she was using heroin for its psychedelic properties.

Do what?! Yes, this person told me they had PSYCHEDELIC trips on heroin. I didn't believe them at first but after they explained it a little bit more in depth I do! They said that it was like they would nod out but THEN they would get GREAT psychedelic/spiritual type trips. She tried explaining it a little bit more in depth to me but this is all I remember from what she was saying about it.

This person was a psychedelics user (I remember them telling me about a ++++ experience they had on 4-meo-PCP as well) if that matters/changes anything in any of your minds, as I sure was skeptical that people got PSYCHEDELIC type effects from heroin at first (I never did!) but that's what she told me and the way she told me, I believe her.

For me, when I take my Oxycontin and Dilaudid I occasionally feel this feeling of my chest being pressed on and have to concentrate on taking a breath. I thought I was the only one this happened to.

I seem to be very sensitive to all psychoactive chemicals. On cannabis I experience mild fractal like visuals, on MDMA I get sleepy and SUPER relaxed and chilled out. I've always known everyone's body is different, but it's fairly rare to find anyone who has experienced things quite like me (except my father, who is no longer a user, and has described the effects of almost every drug to be nearly identical to me) perhaps it's not as much about diet or nutrition as it is very much about genetics..

RoinrI think some of my reactions, others have had the symptoms also. Someetimes, norco, Oxys, heroin... make me hyper. Last night and today ive been on a h binge. I get really really sweaty, having some hallucinations, vision worth shit and it took me about 12 hours to pee and my bladder was very full.insomnia, nausea and some anxiety/shakes. Eerweweaearararararararararaec w-Lol I guess I have that jibberish to.
The onething I wonder about is the sweating - ill take a hit and then I'm drenched. Also happens when I revive the high when I have a cig.

I dunno, everyone. Has sneer effects that others dont.

When I first feel the onset of my opiate induced high the very first thing i start to notice is that it feels like someone is pushing on the front of my head just above my forehead. It's not like an annoying feeling or one that I have to use extra energy to physically keep my head from being pushed down, it;s kinda hard to explain, like you said some kind of pressure pushing on the front of my skull. I have come now to enjoy it as i know the drugs are working :D

Opiates, some more than others, can stimulate me more than methamphetamine, and in a much more pleasant way too. Opiates usually stimulate me in moderate doses, and I can only nod in very high doses. (tolerance is a bitch!)

I too am stimulated by opiates, which is why I have come to love them...Some people nod, I feel like super woman! :D

To everyone who has experienced these effects I have stated:

I am trying to figure out why exactly these particular effects. I am by no means highly educated in biology, but I am trying to take some notes and deduce possible contributing factors to these effects.

If you would be so kind, please post some information in the general format I've typed below: I would very much appreciate your input.
