the first optimistic poem i've ever written, *big smiles*

happiness is there
i see it in the corner of my eye
so close i can almost touch it
The butterflies invade my stomach
as prayers flood my mind
Tears that flow without sadness
were once out of lonelyness
Now of something new
something i've never had to worry about before
Shaking steps of a toddler toward a bright future
Am i ready?
