the reflection of my ripples seem to trickle
into fickle stillness
still this is but a reflection of my introverted illness
tickled pink
in the simple think thought thunk process
im lost in my waters shallow depths
confused staring blankly out of rank
weeping my shallowness
for all of the lords hallowedness bows
down to my cowardess
im powerful
only in noticing my strength
in being powerless
while the sun showers somber brilliance
upon my echoed movements
im reminded of my silent echoes of prudence
who knew this the mirror to be
my unending entombment
unbending save for
two segments
where my legs bend to run away
and the point at which im legless
im an eggless eggshell emptied
without a sign of puncture
led asunder by
the suns smile
and the waters crack of thunder
left to wonder whether the waters depth
is truly deeper in the darkness
or if the light end of the spectrum is just
the part in which my heart lives...

awesome poem, thanx 4 sharing.
i was wondering when you wrote
left to wonder whether the waters depth
is truly deeper in the darkness
or if the light end of the spectrum is just
the part in which my heart lives...
what exactly does it mean. i came up with my own meaning and just wanted to see if it was the same as yours.
peace mister

first off thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my work, that means more than you may think...
as for the meaning behind the four lines you quoted...this poem is about me coming to terms with myself...it all stems from the phrase, nice guys finish last...
left to wonder whether the waters depth
is truly deeper in the darkness
^is it worth it to risk your goodness to be bad and have it all? and do you truly have it all?
or if the light end of the spectrum is just
the part in which my heart lives...
^is it worth it to continue holding true to my kindhearted nature? or am i just dreaming hopelessly that the good guy will prevail?
just something ive been wondering lately...hope that helps you somewhat...and thank you again for reading and replying!
