Unsuccessful attempts at shooting up. Did I waste my H? Safe to try again?

First off, mods: I created a thread in OD like 10 minutes ago. If this isn't allowed, please close one and leave whichever one is in the more suitable section open. Other thread here: http://www.bluelight.org/vb/threads/733745-IV-noobie-already-mixed-H-with-water-and-don-t-want-to-waste-it-%28safe-to-try-again-%29

Basically I was trying to shoot up for the first time today. I was following the steps of this guide & read through the 'Getting Off Right' manual prior to indulging in the activity.

I have a couple questions. I stuck my vein twice but couldn't quite maneuver my free hand in a way to pull back on the plunger to draw back some blood. The needle came out & I re-entered the same vein like half of an inch away from the original spot, where the same thing happened (couldn't pull back on the plunger to make sure I registered correctly).

So I dumped the H solution back into the cooker I used initially and it's sitting on the nightstand next to me right now. Should I be storing it somewhere else? I REALLY don't want to waste the stuff, so I'm wondering if it's still safe to inject? If not, can I ingest it via other routes of administration?

I wouldn't need to filter it again when drawing it up into a syringe right? I'd draw the liquid straight from the cooker/spoon? Sorry if these are common sense questions, I just like to be meticulous & thorough when it comes to a lot of things.

Should I be concerned about any potential infection or damage to my vein from using the same needle for two failed attempts? I washed the injection site with soap+water beforehand (I was planning on using an alcohol swab too but forgot) and accidentally left the needle uncapped while cooking up the H (this was less than a minute). Aside from that, I followed HR procedures pretty religiously, and I've got two band-aids covering the puncture holes right now

I would recommend that you do not inject at all. It is a very slippery slope. Everyone gets hooked. You will likely find your self in a very precarious spot in months or years. In a very short time you will not be worrying about band aids. You will let the crimson blood flow from your misses and soak the floor while you attempt another location.

Very good harm reduction. But sometimes the most harm is reduced by never starting. Addiction is a very difficult thing to battle. In the end it does not come down to getting pleasure, it come down to partially avoiding great misery and the last thing it is is pleasurable.

Just something to think about. Do you have someone with you? Most people OD right in the begining or on a relapse.. so its a good idea to have someone around to help you if you should need it.
