I keep trying to find something new to conduct research on but everything i find is a analog of a schedule 1 or 2 making it unsafe to order from suppliers for experiments. Interested in finding any type of psych i can learn about. I find this shit fascinating. Thanks

Grow your own psilocybin containing fungi, acquire LSA containing seeds, extract mescaline from any of a variety of localling growing cacti, dabble into GABAdelics with amanitas and amanita extracts perhaps. As far as other psychedelic mechanisms go, there is some cholinergic action going on from sinicuichi that gives quite a unique experience. Kanna in high doses of potent concentrates has also been super interesting to me. Matrine and hodgkinsine containing plants are the only natural dissociative I can think of (outside of iboga and salvia ofc), and while uncontrolled I suspect they exhibit toxicity just based on current literature, but they are poorly studied to begin with. Countless DMT and harmala containing plants are also native to here, take a scythe to a patch of Phalaris grass and work out safe extraction techniques perhaps. Grow some salvia, it's quite easy and very rewarding, easily the most potent salvia I've ever come across. It's the type of shit to have you breaking through off chewing a few handfuls of leaves. DXM, memantine, galantamine and Calaea ternifolia are also uncontrolled as far as I'm aware and they're quite interesting.

Once you spend enough time exploring the market of psychedelics, you come to realize that making your own (via synthesis or cultivation) is really the key to exploring this world, in my opinion at least.

The federal analogue act prevents any risk-free experimentation with psychoactive drugs. The definition of analogue is very vague. After how much modification is something no longer an analogue? If two compounds share a secondary amine is that enough to consider them analogues? When law enforcement wants to prosecute someone for possession, use or sale they can use the arbitery definition of analogue to pinch anyone they want.

Afaik it's only ever been used in the prosecution of the original Spice/K2 brand holders, but I may be wrong on that, it's just something I heard in a Hamilton Morris podcast once.

There are different chemotypes of the Phalaris sp. containing DMT or 5-MeO-DMT. It seems that cultivars containing DMT are low in 5-MeO-DMT and vice versa. Some contain no interesting alkaloids. Many are high in b-carbolines, which can be strong MAOIs and there is also the theory that some may be implicated in metabolism analogous to MPTP, leading to Parkinson. I think Phalaris staggers in cattle are a neurodegenerative disease, probably unrelated to gramine (which does not seem to be as bad as people made it out to be). Phalaris is not something one just does, you need TLC analysis. I think there is one present cultivar stable in seeds called "Tannite" which can be gotten by some of the Phalaris enthusiasts, it is one that contains significant quantities of 5-MeO-DMT. Time of the year is also important. Cultivars for use for feeding have been selected for low alkaloid content in general afaik and are uninteresting, wild patches or material obtained from "ethnobotanical" enthusiasts should be used.

Along the scythe you definitely want to bring some TLC plates...

MAOIs are implicated in toxicity even remotely similar to the neurodegenerative impacts of MPTP? Please send me some sources on this, I don't doubt there are dangerous ones but I've never heard of anything even remotely similar to this, and I'm about half a decade deep on obsessively researching harmalas.

Also gramine is absolutely a toxin worth watching out for, why do you think it isn't?

My understanding is not complete, please do your own research on the matter. I've only ever had a very crude overview and can not find the relevant paper I meant at the moment, but you'll find tons of stuff if you search for "b-carboline neurotoxin". It is really a complex matter because some of them are also neuroprotective.

As for the matter of gramine, I'm not saying it is harmless, but please compare the acute toxicity in rodents (i.e. LD50) to DMT. Here is also an interesting additional article (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/28523965/). Of course that does not mean it can't be uncomfortable or there are no longterm harms etc. It can also be removed relatively easily.

Phalaris is still underresearched but there is lots of room for citizen science. However the topic needs some care. You need to first identify a lucrative plant and then find a proper extraction technique. Luckily the former will enable you to verify the latter.

Wasnt there the big bust in 2004 when they took down all the american research chemical sites and gave the the owners 400 years in jail?

plenty of psychedelics you can get legally in the US -- budget depending.

Mushrooms being the most common. Pretty sure you can buy mushroom chocolates online. D.C had DMT vape carts (or did at least). N.M has peyote buttons -- for that matter you can order san pedro and get a mescaline trip.

I presume the nbomes are no longer legal lol I never got a message but seems common knowledge......lysergamides I am pissed I missed out on but could never find a US shipper anyways.

Link me to whatsup there!??

Operation Web Tryp is that what got silk road guy who is now out? And alot of others who are not.

Yea stick to what is legal as a user to research. In the US that gives plenty of psych options (and about any other category you choose). The sources are the hard part -- the tech is what stops me haha

No it was way before Ross Ulbricht. It was 2004. Research chemicals arn't legal in the US - all those RC suppliers went to prison for a long time. All their bullshit excuses about "research" and "bath salts" didn't do them a bit of good - they went down for 400 years. If the cops ever come and anyone thinks "I was just using it for research" is going to keep them out of prison - the cops are just gonna laugh at you.

Maybe they can get away with selling RC's using crypto nowadays? Back in 2004 the fucking idiots were so convinced the "It's only research" defence would work they just took payments on credit cards - the cops took those lists and tracked down a load of customers too.

Haha crypto is what cockblocked me alright.

Question -- the chemical is legal to sell -- why do they have to even give a damn excuse why they have it forsale other than "Its legal and a freemarket"?

My impression on all of this is they actually went down because in emails, texts, wires, w/e they were pretty non chalant about these products actually being for consumption which is what brought them down? (correct me if I am wrong)

Example (perhaps uneeded) locally there was a headshop that struggled for years -- than MDPV came out -- guy became a millionaire inside of a year and they COULD NOT TOUCH HIM. I mean they tried I promise; even after the 'community ban' he found a way to legally do his thing. (prolly switched analog idk)

What I am getting at is do I need a reason? Said chemical is legal its a free market I have the capital. Maybe the vendor may need a reason but I dont feel like I do and I dont llke alot of sites telling you the reason you are buying xyz as it may not hold up -- especially when its tablets!

I always thought the trouble came when ppl started pressing say bromaz as alpraz and saying its xanax or MDPV is meth or methylone is MDMA etc....ya know selling it for consumption, directly implying to consume it, comparing its effects to xyz...

Idk what Im asking you exactly -- make it make sense!!?? How are these things legal and illegal at the same time (spare the analog act which I understand quite well)

Are you in the US? There's some places selling 4-aco-dmt at least over there - I'd move there if I could!!

Here in the UK they passed some bullshit law where if something has a psychoactive effect then selling it is illegal. That was supposed to be the final "catch-all" clause that ended research chemicals forever.

There do seem to be a few more chemical supply places in the US now - maybe they're happy to take a chance now they have crypto and Telegram.

Hi everyone,

I’m a third-year psychology student conducting a university research project on perceptions of harm, motivations for use, and subjective effects of DMT (N,N-dimethyltryptamine), to improve scientific understanding and inform actual evidence-based policies for harm reduction. I currently need about 15 more people to make sure I have statistical power, but as many responses as possible is the goal!

If you:

  • Are 18+
  • Live in the UK, USA, Canada, or EU
  • Have used DMT at least once

I would really appreciate your participation.

The survey:

  • Is completely anonymous
  • Takes around 10 minutes
  • Has university ethical approval
  • Does not collect any identifying information

If you're interested, this link will take you to the survey: https://livpsych.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_a5xvZ9U27vRmkrI

Thank you and feel free to share with others who may be eligible!

It has been used a few times. Reason they dont use it is cuz it is super flimsy.

I literally know the k2people. They fought the DEA and won

There is a story from my area about a guy making 4-MAR, he got popped but he fpught it in court, sayinghe wqs making the non scheduled isomer. They could only chqrge him for the few percent impurity
