Unintended love affair

Light hits the hardwood floor
Breaking through the open eyes
The house is pleasantly cold
Or maybe it's my lack of clothing
I devour chocolate chips eagerly
Letting their sweet warmth love me
As I watch ice sickles melt outside.
I haven't brushed my hair today
Or eaten anything but chocolate
Or gotten dressed after my bath
I'm wondering as I watch the snow
If it could be unintended
This love affair with being alive
Me, standing in a towel, here
Out in the open, unafraid to be seen.

your punctuation fascinates me!
i think there could be a full stop after outside.
but much more wouldve robbed it of its momentum.
i read it three or four times over.
i like the way you gather words.
