I recently came across a bottle of painkillers from 1965. It says take one every 4 hours, came in a pop-top clear plastic bottle, and the pills are brown, maybe really dark green with no visible markings.

If anyone knows anything this could be, would you please let me know? The only thing I could find by googling is 200mg morphine, but I just want to make sure. Any ideas are welcome.

Not sure if it's allowed to identify unknown substances here, either way I would definitely not take any medication that is this old or risk consuming something unknown.
Many substances degrade after a few years especially if it's stored in a clear container, you could be endangering your health if you consume.

If they had some imprint, there are drug ID sites that can help you. Agree with above post, these old pills could well be degraded, especially with the strange color. I wouldn't mess with them. Sorry I have to close this. Be safe!
