Benzos Unexpected reaction to clonazepam

Tonight I decided that I would try conazepam for the first time.

I am completely benzo naive (with the exception of taking a prescribed non benzo hypnotic about a year and a half ago, i believe they're cross tolerant)

So I first started with .125mg, waited 30 mins....felt nothing....took another .125mg, waited 30 mins...still felt nothing... so i took .25mg.....and after another 30 mins.... i still felt nothing

At this point i decided to "throw caution to the wind" and take another .5mg........
after 30 minutes i still wasn't feeling anything.

So i took 1mg in total........and it had not effect (not an very high dose, i know....but it was my first time so i was being cautious)

its now 4 hours later, and I have yet to feel any effects, though in the last 15-20mins or so, I've had a growing feeling that I'm going to throw up.
Is perhaps due to the clonazepam?

Im no expert, but is this not an unexpected reaction.....

Or did i just not take high enough of a dose?

Does anyone know of anything that may have caused the lack of reaction?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Clonazepam isn't very recreational for most people. You're probably feeling it, alright, but it's just not registering as being very fun.

Without prior benzo experience I would imagine that your going to have a difficult time recognizing the subtle effects that most benzos produce. It's subtle and something that not everyone can appreciate.

You probably would have had an easier time distinguishing the effects if you took the whole mg at once.

I don't find benzos that recreational tbh. All they do is sedate me.
You can try taking 1mg 24h later and see how you feel.
I've never heard of people getting nauseous from benzos, but it could be related, or nocebo.

^^ exactly this. maybe you took it expecting a sort of high, but that's not what you'll have from 1mg of clonazepam. even with 4 mgs i didn't feel much, i mean surely i was pretty fucked up but it wasn't a high per se.
just take 1 mg or 2 and smoke some weed or drink a bit (just a few beers, alcohol + benzos may be pretty dangerous also considering you have no tolerance), benzos are (imho) almost worthless by themselves recreationally but are good if taken with other drugs

I didn't really expect so much of a high.
But i did expect around the same feeling I got from Zopiclone, which I would describe as sedated and calm....

However if i took Zopiclone, then took another one any time within the next week and a bit, I would find that the second has no effect at all.(Tolerance i assume?)
So due to the similarities of the two, it seems logical that if i was to just try taking 1mg today, it wouldn't work.

Try taking double the amont. smoke some weed and mix in some alcohol with benzos. Now that's some great harm reduction right there... smh
