I've been reading blue light for a while now and I thought it was time to get myself registered and start contributing properly; I have problem, I'd like help with them; you have problems, I'd like to help you with them.
I've been in treatment for heroin addiction for the last 6 months, at about 1.6mg of subutex per day. Since then I've managed to relapse a couple of times, but nothing too serious. I've been blagging my GP for 5mg valium 'scripts but now after the 5th time he's beginning to get a little suspicious and has asked my lifeline clinic to contact him to discuss the mixture of buprenorphine and diazepam; I'm wondering, if, apart from the normal don't mix benzos with opiates warning, are there any other considerations I should be adhering to? Also, is there a way I can successfully convince my key worker that she should tell my GP to give me a repeat prescription for the yellows?
This site has been a source of fantastic advice and support over the last year or so, and I'm happy to have now joined proper.
Looking forward to talking to you all in more depth.
