Hmmmmmmmm. Does sound a little cheesy to me. A bit cliched. Almost as if the whole night has been built around born slippy. I can just imagine the promoters of the event writing out a contract that says 'must play the melody from born slippy at midnight'. I mean its a great track, but Underworld have got at least another 20 or so tracks that are just as good, maybe better. Just seems a shame that after all this time, and after theyve made so many great records, some people still just know them as 'that band who sing 'lager lager lager''

On that note, i really loved what they did with born slippy when they played it in melbourne - they couldve just milked the melody for all its worth, but instead they turned it into a full-on pounding tribal techno workout :)

i had to chance to see them last Saturday but left b4 their set started meh armin and ferry forever!!!!!!!!!
 
I'm bumping this thread again because...............actually I don't really need a reason - it's Underworld!!!

Has anyone seen them on their recent North American/Asian/European tour?

Oh and incase anyone hasn't already heard it, this is one of their latest tracks - Underworld - 02-02-02 (new mix) - I reckon it's their most intense track since 'Moaner'!!!

Im sad i wasnt able to see them when they did their N. American tour

heres hoping they play Coachella in april

I was there too!!! Creamfields 2002. They were playing on the open-air stage, and there was tons of room to dance if you were near the back (which is where we were). That's the exact bit I remember too - the moment the melody from Born Slippy came in for the first time, it just put a smile on everyone's face :) Underworld <3

Just to remind people, Underworld are playing a series of shows in America over the next 2 weeks (Washington DC, New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles), followed by shows in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and Ireland.

they are coming to san francisco but, sadly, they are playing the live 105 all-ages crapathon at cow palace. this will be the first time i've decided to not see them since i came to the u.s.

Yes actually! I have drawn a first draft of the deadmau5 tat I'm gonna get when I have the money. It's wild, it's a syringe that says "deadmau5" on it and it looks like I'm being injected with mau5heads. I CAN'T WAIT to get it, it'll be INSANE :D
