Born slippy live at creamfields two years ago, just when I was coming up, misty rain causing a rainbow on my right and the sun setting on my left..............

I have a recording of that show....

you are fucking lucky!!!

That exact moment when they break into the melody of Born Slippy, and the crowd just ERUPTS....

damn.

All I can say is this: when I listen to this music, it evokes a very spiritual feeling in me. I have never in my life had music touch me so deep. This music is pure magic to me. Simply listening to it evokes a a very magical feeling within me.

I want to hear music like this. I want to experience this live. This is what music is all about. I don't care what anyone says, this is music in its most pure form : the expression of emotion, the conveying of one's mind, thoughts, and feelings to another.

I can honestly say, that listening to this Underworld album, makes me feel profound. I never knew music could do this to me. Their music is literally making me high, I feel like I am in the midst of an MDMA high, just by listening to them.

Please, BL, tell me, who else out there has music like this? I have searched high and low, and all the music that touches my inner self comes from the UK. Coincedence?

My top four are (in no particular order) : Led Zeppelin, Underworld, Pink Floyd, and LTJ Bukem.

Is there anything I am missing?

Definitely check out some o' this:

Freaky Chakra - Lowdown Motivator (or his new one, Moonroof Operator). Quality stuff, in between about 8 genres, and more's the better.

Leftfield - Leftism (q u a l i t y) =D

Orbital - In Sides (and Snivilisation, and all the rest if you dig 'em)

Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92 (and 'I Care Because You Do')

and a few mix comps that continually blow me away:

Ken Ishii - X-Mix
Coldcut - 70 Minutes Of Madness
Jon Lisle - Autobiography (mix, not commercial CD)
Banco de Gaia - Live @ Glastonbury

All of the above is high quality, emotive music from all over the genre spectrum. I LOVE IT!!! =D

Thanks so much, I have heard the Aphex Twin one, so I accept your suggestions :)

Agreed with everything said above. The thing that really impresses me about them is just how fresh, innovative and interesting their music sounds today. Dubnobasswithmyheadman is one of the classic electronic albums (everybody should own a copy, it's a fiver on amazon btw).

Just wanted to add my underworld moment - Prague this summer in a battered old theatre, the dj played Rez/Cowgirl - que a massive group hug with me and my mates and about 20 randoms no the dancefloor. Everybody jumping around like a loon :D

Cheers lads

Ah man, I finally got the Underworld DVD.

Let me just say that it made me run out to the store to buy some beer, and then there I was raving it up in my living room :D

It is that fucking good!!!

there are not enough superlatives in existance for me to explain how great underworld is:)

After forcing my parents to watch it, they now approve of my raving 100%.

My mom absolutely loved the DVD (!!!!!) Before, she thought raves were just drug filled orgies. She even said if she was younger, she'd be right there raving with me :D

I am going to buy it for her, for Christmas :)

Thank you Underworld! You have helped me form a bond with my mother that I never thought possible!

Bluemind, I think I think the same way as you if it comes to underworld. They are so pure and listening to underworld is like a trip itself! It's so deep..actually there are no words that describe my love for underworld...I am seeing them in Holland @ HeinekenMusicHall next month...Can't wait!

Much much much much respect for them!!

anyone know where i can download their tracks for free with out using any file sharing programs???

thanks huge in advance

saw them in Melbourne at The Metro, fucking amazing.

As for born slippy no matter where i am, what ever dance floor, when that track is played, the party goes off, from a dodgey cheesey play pen to a 10 000 plus party

That Live DVD they have is AMAZING. My favorite Underworld song of all time has to be Pearl's Girl. The intro is fantastic. Beacoup Fish is probably my favorite album from them. We can't forget Born Slippy though ;)

Underworld - Jumbo mmmmmmmm

Underworld, Orbital, Fluke, Leftfield are some of the best electronica acts around.

*joins in the grup hug of Underworld*
Makuhari Messe, think it was about 2001, hugest crowd of Japanese people all going absolutely mental and me and my friends just grinning at each other enjoying the vibe!
