Hi, I'm gonna risk sounding uneducated here. I have a bottle of hydrocodon and I don't understand when people say to take 15-25mgs. My bottle just says Hydrocodon 5-500. Thanks for any response.

That means they are 5mg of hydrocodone, and 500mg of acetaminophen (equivalent to an extra strength Tylenol) in a pill. So 3 to 5 pills is 15 to 25mgs.

You should not take any more than 8 of them in a day without doing something called a cold water extraction (crushing them, adding cold water, filtering the pill goo and drinking the liquid). Too much acetaminophen can hurt your liver, the FDA limit is 4 grams in a day.

Without any more information I'm assuming that's an oral solution of 5mg Hydrocodone to 500mg of Acetaminophen/Paracetamol.

Does it say anything on it about APAP?
