I am seriously having a problem getting enough relief from my prescribed pain medications. the problem is i have a musculoskeletal disorder, that is very painful, and degenerative my dr. is totally underprescribing me pain meds.

I have brought this problem up before with nearly no advise given, to clear things up here, I'm NOT asking for advise on getting a dr. to prescribe me more meds, I'm asking why would he be so stubborn to prescribe an adequate supply of meds for me, when my case is clearly DX'd / documented, and i'm telling him that it's not enough, and it's very low dose. I take 5mg oxycodone APAP, TID (three times a day) why is he doing this to me?:! hes killing me with this shit.. the med helps control pain, but only a little.. like -30% pain maybe. I need more relief to live free. I am going to a pain clinic , (the largest in the area), and do NOT want to switch docs.

been with this clinic for about 6 months

someone make this plain for me please.

Since none of us are in your doc's head, theres no way to know his particular reasons. Its only going to result in endless speculation.

If you give us some more info, we might be able to make some education guesses.

What is your exact diagnosis? What supporting documentation/imaging/lab tests do you have?

edit - also, your age, gender, socioeconomic status and general appearance can come into play as well.

sounds like you are a drug seeker so just find another doc that doesn't give a shit, and get all the pills you want

forget that, i'm a relief seeker, and that is the way i should be.. i'm in a state of shock from pain, it's very disturbing.

very insulting


on second thought, i'm done with this entire board, it's really pointless here, harm reduction does not apply to people with half a brain or more, and with the type of people on here, there is really not reason for any other type of threads, honestly i believe, this is an unfit environment for such matters, and i'm not going to put my personal business out for this nonsense
