BART system ... not Bart Simpson.
Trivia connection is a good one though.
Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was given up for adoption when his mom was unwed. And her
affair skedaddled.
Mona, Steve Jobs' sister, was raised by her mother and stepfather, George Simpson (taking the Simpson surname), and did not meet Steve until they were adults in 1986.
The Simpsons was created by Matt Groening.
The Connection to Mona Simpson.
The Name Inspiration: The character Mona Simpson (Homer Simpson's mother) was named after Mona Simpson.
The Family Link: Mona Simpson is the biological sister of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
The Writer Link: Mona Simpson was married to Richard Appel, a writer and producer who worked on The Simpsons and named Homer's mother after her.
Steve Jobs. Born in San Francisco, California on February 24, 1955.
Upbringing: Raised by his adoptive parents, Paul and Clara Jobs, in Mountain View and Los Altos, California—an area in the South Bay that became the heart of Silicon Valley.
Education & Early Career: Attended Cupertino Middle School and Homestead High School in Cupertino, California, before co-founding Apple Computer with Steve Wozniak in his parents' garage.
~~~~~
Steve Jobs unknowingly met his biological father, Abdulfattah "John" Jandali, at a restaurant in Silicon Valley that Jandali managed.
The Encounters: Jobs frequently dined at the restaurant and even shook Jandali's hand. At the time, neither one knew they were father and son.
The Aftermath: Jandali later recalled Jobs as a "sweet guy and a big tipper," still unaware of the connection.
Jobs would leave 100 dollar bill tips at times.
No Reconnection: Jobs learned about his biological father years later through his biological mother and sister (novelist Mona Simpson), but he chose never to contact Jandali.
BART System always reminded me of Bart Simpson. I always liked the BART system and it's really great though. It all worked so smooth.
