Benzos UNCONTROLLABLE itching on Xanax??!?!!

Here's the deal guys. was prescribed a laundry list of meds back in 08, mainly used the Xanax, Valium, and Klonopin. Left on bad terms with my doc so that's outta the question.

Recently, been taking a few Xanax. Last week, did 3 1mg's and had a nice evening. Later that week, got my hands on 8 .25's so naturally I did all of those weak shits. Just last night, I came across 7 more 1 mg's... they were gone by the end of the night, after dolling out .5 to a friend... so 6.5. Nothing crazy.

Now I just grabbed 11 more.. already took 4.. started with 2.5 and figured why not bar it up.

NOW, onto my real issue... I'm suddenly itching like a crazy man. I sorta remember something like this back when I was prescribed benzo's, but nothing to this degree. My hair, my back, pretty much all my skin... sooooo fucking itchy! There's no rash or anything, just itching.

Any input? Any solutions? Thanks gus!

Correct me if I'm wrong but that's a histamine reaction and as far as I know the only way that a benzo would create a reaction like that is if you have some sort of allergy to it. Same thing happens to me if I take a shit ton of guafenisin (1200-1500mg) or in the past I've had this happen from DXM trips.

If you take an anti-histamine, i recommend diphenhydramine (benadryl) you will no longer itch.

Sounds like if you remember similar lesser issues when you were on them before you may actually have a benzo allergy. Seems you are doing it at what would be above prescribed doses now, so it is sensible the symptoms of a possible allergy would worsen.
