This argument is stupid, and people need to stop making it. If someone steals my laptop, and my response is "fuck that laptop, it sucked anyway", my opinion on this has absolutely nothing to do with the ethical implications of stealing someone's computer.

Circumcising babies in the absence of a medical necessity is barbaric and unethical. Full stop.
 
I used to be ashamed of my uncircumcised dick. Then my girl told me she loves my penis, and now, no fucks are given.

Bro I deff feel you on the letting them make the choice when they get older, But I feel in the last 2 or 3 years chicks haven't been so picky at least thats what my uncut boy says. If it was recent she must have been one of those picky chicks or maybe his penis just wasnt as magnificent as yours!
 
Circumcision is illegal here (Finland, as in many other countries around here) unless done by a doctor for medical reasons. This applies to minors though, so as an adult you can get yourself circumcised. However in front of the law circumcision on minors is on par with assault. The vast majority (80% ) opposes legalizing the practice. Doctors aren't happy to circumcise adults either. I'm personally against it if it's done on minors, but adults can do what they want. While circumcision is mainly harmless, any mutilation of an infant without medical reasons is unacceptable to me. The child is left with no choice.

I've actually never even seen an circumcised penis in real life. It's so rare here. Jews and Muslims get their children circumcised illegally in secret.

This argument is pointless as its obviously just a culture thing. You do what you want to do, and America will do what it wants to do.

Oh, that was quite a brainfart from me. I mean circumcised of course. I'll edit my post accordingly.

I agree it's a cultural thing, and a religious as well. Circumcision is by no means especially "American" though, male Jews and Muslims also (almost exclusively) get circumcised. And they do it regardless of what the law say. Breaking the law is not what its about for me though, as I break many too.

It seems though that Americans are more divided on this matter than I thought.

The secretions of the labia minora accumulate in uncircumcised women and turn rancid, so they develop an unpleasant odour which may lead to infections of the vagina or urethra. I have seen many cases of sickness caused by the lack of circumcision.

Circumcision reduces excessive sensitivity of the clitoris which may cause it to increase in size to 3 centimeters when aroused, which is very annoying to the husband, especially at the time of intercourse.

Another benefit of circumcision is that it prevents stimulation of the clitoris which makes it grow large in such a manner that it causes pain.

Circumcision prevents spasms of the clitoris which are a kind of inflammation.

oh, please. male circumcision doesn't take away your ability to orgasm,. (yes, i hear there is more friction with uncircumcized but less friction is quite different from no orgasm altogether).

i know it's horrible, but i have been conditioned or something and just don't like the look of uncut. i feel as dumb as a guy who only likes big tits or something.

Do you honestly believe that if it adversely affected mens enjoyment of sex in any way that millions of generations would have continued circumcising their young men? Female circumcision is no more related than female menstration is to male circumcision. Similar name perhaps, completely different effects.
 
Old dicks don't age well in terms of looks or function. I never said that circumcised penises are incapable of orgasm, however circumcision - in the long term - adversely effects erectile function and, therefore, one's ability to ejaculate.

They are identical procedures, considering the relationship between the hood of the clitoris and the foreskin. The only thing that separates them, surgically, is gender.

As for effects, both procedures reduce sensitivity. Which is the cause, incidentally, of potential sexual dysfunction.

This is not what its about. It's about removing a body part of an infant without medical reasons, and removing the option to choose for himself when he's old enough to understand what circumcision is. Sexual enjoyment is not the relevant part in this regard.
