Hey Bluelight,
Ever since can remember years and years ago, I can not seem to remember one single occasion where I enjoyed a pharmaceuticle pain killer expierience. I've taken Oxy's, vicodin, tramadol, percocet.... and yet I've never seemed to be able to enjoy them.
Heres what happends:
No matter whats in my stomach, how much food, or when I ate it, I always seem to throw up. I always seem to become extreamly swetty and flushed, looking horribly pale and sometimes green.
Can anyone give me some insight as to what possible ways I can change my behavior to enjoy pharm pain killers?
Thanx

I don't think you can do anything you have tried a good amount of opiate/opioids and just don't enjoy the high. Maybe take it with an antihistamine to reduce some side effects that's all I can think off.

I am 99.9% certain you are just dosing way to much, your symptoms spell mild OD to the letter.

If this happens even from lowish doses of pk's then you're definitely just extremely sensitive to opiates.

Whats the lowest dose of Percs/Vics you've tried?

^That's probably it. Try a lower dose and also consider adding an antiemetic (examples like meclizine and diphenhydramine are widely available OTC).

This is pretty basic so...

^Yeah, that really sounds like it to me too...

Edit- And like Cane thinks, too... ;)

I've never taken more than 3 pills of any at a time, I'm begingin to think that theres nothing I can do. I must just have a body tht doesnt accept some substances that otheres enjoy.

Definitely sounds like you're dosing too much if you puke every time. Just because you are taking the opiates to get high doesn't mean you need to take a does that is more than one would be normally prescribed to take. It seems you are pretty sensitive to the effects of opiates, so try to take a small amount of something. Take like 2 7.5mg hydrocodones, or one 10mg percocet. When i first started taking opiates it didn't take much to get me feelin really good, and it didn't take much to make me puke either. I think if you find the right dose you can enjoy the high. When you have little tolerance it isn't necessary to take 30mg of hydrocodone or more than 15mg of oxycodone. A small dose should give you decent effects. Shit, if you literally have no tolerance and are sensitive to opiates 1 7.5mg hydro will actually give you some decent effects, maybe even 5mg of oxycodone. The first opiate i ever took was one 10mg percocet and it got me feeling great.

If your only taking 3 pills at a time you are probably allergic to something, or have an extreme reaction, happens to a lot of people, my Mrs can't take codiene and a few others, half a pill and she's ready to throw it up...

If it helps as she has a reaction to the basic opiates, they put her on Tramadol, does fuck all for me, but plenty of people can enjoy it, it doesn't make her sick, something about it being synthetic. Oh and pethadine or something, that's another one she can take..
The good news is, if you can find a pill that won't make you feel sick, you'll really be able to enjoy them, just a little and you'll be flying ;)
Just tell your doc next time that they made you sick, and try some others!

hell if it only takes you half a vic to get off consider yourself lucky 30 pills could last you 6 months as for me it might last 4 hours if that,

You can't simply make your body respond to painkillers the way you'd like it to... I really don't think there's much of anything you can do. That said, if you've only taken each of the painkillers you listed once or twice, you definitely might want to try taking a lower dose of either Vicodin or Percocet than you did on previous occasions... If you take 7.5mg of Vicodin or 5mg of Percocet & you still experience all those unpleasant side effects, then painkillers definitely aren't for you, & you should probably pray you'll never have to have surgery or anything. Then again, however, something like 7.5mg of Vicodin doesn't really have much recreational effects & all enjoyable/pleasurable effects are really quite subtle.
Lots of people are incredibly sensitive to the potential side effects of pain killers... I'd say that it's very likely you're sensitive to pain killers to a degree at which a "recreational dose" of pain killers causes you to experience so many unpleasant side effects that it simply totally isn't worth it.

In many, many ways, you're actually kind of lucky... Not being able to enjoy the effects of painkillers definitely has its upsides.

Id say quit while your ahead and dont fuck with opiates. Ur body is telling u to leave that shit alone. You would do well to comply.

You probably have a body chemistry that doesn't accept opiates too well, it happens some people just aren't right for them, as far as getting no high you probably don't notice whatever high you do get from the distress of the bad reaction your always getting. as far as dosage it's weird. the first time I did any opiates ever in my life, I had to take 3 vike 7.5's and drink a 40 to get any "perceived" feeling out of it, however at another point in life I had a tooth cut out in prison and they gave me tylonol 3 every 6 hours, and just 60 mg of codeine from that would make me the happiest muthafucka behind the towers. it's really weird, and nowadays I've done buprenorphine for a few months, oxymorphone, oc's, roxi's, have to take more than 40 mg of hydrocodone to get high but I still feel great from tramadol. I think in your case Opiates just are not something your body processes correctly.

Dr Pepper is right, this could be a blessing to you. Dont mess with something that doesnt make you feel good.

How are you guys answering this question with no information?

All of these pills come in different strengths. And three pills is not a strength...

There is just not enough information to help this person.

True, but three hydro would be a max of 30 mgs. While that might make someone with no opiate tolerance puke it should also be very euphoric. Only advice I can really give to the OP is try the lowest possible dose, one hydro or perc. Even that is a fairly wide range between 5 mgs hydro and 10 of oxy, but it should still be low enough not to make anyone sick. If it still does just give up on opiates, they just aren't for you.

^(@Psych Jay) The strength of the pill isn't really needed to be able to point out that the symptoms described are identical to those of mild or moderate opiate overdose...

TBH, I don't think the dose would really help here... We have no idea how opiates effect him, mg for mg. We do know that whatever dose he is taking appears to be too much for his body, though!

That's too wide of a range to give a accurate dose to help him.

He is practically jumping around with two different opioids. He is taking too much or he is reacting bad to them, I agree, but how much is he really taking? Then we can be right on the point.

He wants to know what's wrong, but there is two things that could be occurring...
Dosage would be very helpful...

Try promethazine (Phenergan). I dont get ill on opiates but it works great for that... For whatever reason vicodin 5/500 makes me sick as fuck. Promethazine always helps.
