So I got about 300 of these, i'm about 120 pounds, and I am NOT prescribed them. I wanna pop one. What kind of buzz do they give and are they worth taking? I have took percosets before but I am not sure how I will react to these. Are they similar to percosets? *no price discussion* Whats the chance I will have a bad experience? Thanks.

We don't allow pricing discussion here, I'm going to edit that part out of your post.

Also, since this is a basic dosing question, I'll move it on over to Basic Drug Discussion for you.

trams give a speedy buzz. don't expect too much euphoria as it is a pro-drug, they work well for depression though and they are good at potentiating other opiates.

take 50-100mgs and see how you feel. they last long (6+ hours) and they decrease the seizure threshold so don't go popping more than 2-3 of them.

100mg. half hour later 100 mg another half hour and another 100mg. stay below 400 mg, seizures have been known

ineedthistolive, i would NOT do ^this (sorry, PE).

tramadol takes a long time to kick all the way in. much more than half an hour. i'm not telling you to take anything, but if i weighed 120 pounds i wouldn't take more than 100-150mgs. if that wasn't enough i would not re-dose, but instead wait until the next day and try again at 50mgs more.

the high you can get from tramadol will not touch the bliss of percocet. and too much tramadol sucks, even far short of seizure inducing doses.

I would do 150mgs and see how you feel after about an hour, I hate these fuckin things though...I thought I was gonna have a seizure on 300Mgs even with a tolerance. What is your tolerance btw? that would make a big difference obviously it depends.

I take tramadol everyday and if you are a first time user, I wouldn't go above 100mg. This drug also has a tendency to raise your tolerance considerably, where you'll need more tramadol after a couple days for the same effect. The effect is similar to other opiates just alot weaker with an anti-deppresant effect. This is because it works on your serotonin receptors. I personally enjoy this drug alot. It helps tremendously with my pain and gives me a nice mood lift. The only way I see you having a bad experience with tramadol is if you take too much (especially over 400mg), and/or mix it with another serotonin inhibiting substance like effexor. And believe it or not, don't mix tramadol with diphenydramine (benadryl). I don't care how many people may tell you otherwise, it can create short term serotonin sydrome. (happened to me)

I forgot to add that it takes a good hour to kick in (needs to pass threw the liver to become O-desmethyltramadol, which is more potent) and lasts about 6-8 hours, longer if you redosed. Alot of people, including me, will also redose another pill or 2 after a few hours to keep it going. Just don't do anything stupid, like shoot it or take a crazy amount.

great advice^

learn from my mistakes, that's actually what i did to cause a seizure. 100mgs at 12pm, 100mgs at 3pm, and another 50mgs at 4pm. i didn't end up seizing until midnight or 1am that night (or morning)

Yes, 100 mg in a single dose or in divided doses (50 mg, then another 50 mg an hour after) would be my recommendation for someone with no or little tolerance. They are opioids, and yes would feel somewhat like oxycodone (Percocet), however rather different at the same time.

Basically, be very careful with Tram, especially if taking any other med that reduces the seizure threshold.
It's a semi-synthetic opioid, so it will produce opiate-like effects, but nowhere near the extent of Perc, Roxi, Oxy, OP's, etc.
I would say it's kinda like Codeine or Vicodin, mild and sort of calming, but not as enjoyable.

Play it safe with these little fucks.
When taken in combination with Gabapentin or similar GABA drugs that raise the seizure threshold, these can be quite enjoyable, however.
