Ultra music festival in miami is the bomb...................... Not alot peeps know about it this the 11th year.love to chat wit peeps who have been there to expierence it.march 26-27

It's an over-priced, ultra-(ooh, how clever) commercialized "festival" that ends at midnight...

And I'm speaking from experience. I went once, and the lineup has been pretty much the same ever since. But whatever floats your boat.
 
I read an article that they're actually having troubles selling all the tickets due to the economy!

But I would go if I was in Miami!

I went to Dance Valley last year in the dam and it only went til 11, but was fun as hell. I don't think the fact that it ends at midnight would have any impact on my decision to go... but I would totally agree with you that the price is outrageous! That's the only thing keeping me from going.

The lineup, for me, is a fucking dream. Every one of my top fav DJs is playing, except for Sasha..
 
Yeah Sasha was there when I went. I'm not saying I didn't have fun - I'm just saying I personally don't think it's worth the money. How much is it this year?
 
its the bomb, im going. last yr was my 1st time. its as good as its gona get here in miami. not quite as raw as LA but is worth goin. u cant find shit there at ultra like LA raves but luckily i saved some cid i had from last ultra! anyone here going?

Yeah that's how much it was when I went, actually. Add on hotel costs, food (word of advice: EAT BEFORE YOU GO!! Food at Ultra is crazy expensive. Water was like $5 a bottle too..and they don't let you bring in water) and it is quite a pricey weekend.
 
Def. going! yes it's overprices, yes it's commercialized, but I still have fun!!!

And I don't think that a party that ends at 5AM is any better, usually by 12 I am done anyways and there are a lot of after parties as well.
 
I thought about going, as I just moved down to Florida...but it is pretty expensive. If only I knew more people down here I would much prefer skipping it and just bringing some Molly to the beach. Could be fun though if you have the $$
 
I figured I should chime in here heh. I'm doing all of Ultra's internet Marketing and Promotions this year. The festival ISN'T overpriced... do you know what it costs to get big name DJ's like that all in one area.. especially to rent out Bicentennial park? Yeah.. Those ticket prices are what we have to charge to get those guys there. And as for it ending at midnight.. it's only because of noise.. there are a lot of homes that can hear ultra going on and it's disturbing the peace.. But there is PLENTY of after parties(most are free entry) happening the whole week of WMC so just because Ultra ends at midnight it doesn't mean that the partying is over! As for all of the people who are coming to or plan to come to Ultra, If you have any questions or anything let me know and I'd be glad to help you out in any way possible. :]

mdmantpa, thats wut forums are for, to meet new friends of similar interests. i stay in a high rise in north miami beach, 1 block from the beach and im always down to meet new ppl. ill hang out with whoever as long as they are cool peeps. hit me up if u decide to come down and whoever else is heading to miami
