Ultra Music Festival - 3/28 & 3/29 - Miami, FL

This is my 4th year in a row and god damnite it feels like christmas to me every year. I wait all year for this and I can't believe it's back. I'm so fucking excited!! 8o =D
 
My fiancee and I just decided for sure we are going down to Miami during the week of the WMC.

We're driving down and camping not too far from the city and beaches, but since we're trying to be budget conscious, I think we're going to have to give Ultra a miss. That's just regoddamndiculous, especially since she's not even as into electronic music as I am. I enjoyed it in '05, and said I'd always come back to Miami, but I think we're going to stick to little parties and performances during the week around South Beach. If anybody wants to meet up for a night out on South Beach, or a day at the Beach, I'd be down.
 
^^^ Yeah that's the plan. We might come in even the weekend before Ultra, just to get more beach time, which is our main objective.

Hey if you're a local, I have a question for you: what time of morning is the best to take the MacArthur Causeway from Miami to South Beach?
 
For those of you who wanted to see Infected Mushroom, they will be playing 2 shows in 4 days in Miami. The first one on Mar. 22nd at Nocturnal, the 2nd one on Mar. 26th at Chakra in S. Beach.

dont think ive ever seen really bad traffic on the causeway going east except at night when everyone is trying to get to the south beach for partying reasons... IF their is bad traffic just take the alton rd exit cuz cruising down washington SUCKS at night. alton runs parallel with collins and washington.
 
I am considering going to Ultra this year on Saturday since they released 1 day tickets. But unfortunately they are still mad expensive. So it will be a game time decision. I will be hitting up Future Sounds of Breaks fo sho!
 
Ehh, I sold my ticket..Can't afford the trip down there. Plus I'm going to see Radiohead (SCORE!!) and going to Transformus, kind of the east coast version of Burning Man.
 
I won my free tickets to ultra the other day. Yes.. I won 2 2day passes. :]

I hope most of you guys make it out there.

I'm in palm beach so it's only a little over an hour drive for me.

Oh and hey... i'm a ultra virgin.. but long time electronic music lover.. is uh.. "stuff" available there to be bought? I've heard some people say that you can find "stuff" there. :]
 
^ i've been told that its every where, but this will be my first time as well. i wont have the $ until friday to go though. i see on the website to attend saturday only it is like $89. 95. what is the difference between General Admission and Ultra Carry On which is $49.95? i know there are a couple places you can purchase tickets at, but can i get them at the gate when i arrive on saturday? if i can get them at the gate are they more expensive? please someone help me out, i really want to go and i want to make sure i have enough money and get the tickets on time..thx

Ultra Carry On is the AfterParty ticket prices. From 12-wheneverAM. The Saturday GA is 90$ like you said before. 4pm-Midnight. And i'm sure you can purchase them at the gate. I would do it online just to be safe though.
