Greetings,

UMF has been on my bucket list for a long time. They got this great payment plans that make securing a ticket so easy and a breeze to pay. I have a few questions for the community here who have attended this event.

What are the best/closet hotels? I don't plan on renting a car.

Besides bringing MDMA test kits, what else do you recommend? My past history, I toured with Phish, Umphrey's McGee, The Dead (in their many incarnations) and was all over the festy season every weekend. I am grown up (kinda lol) and have stable job that no longer relies on bringing "work" to shows. I'm going as a custy who just wants to have fun and party like I used to.

I work in an office and I've always felt like an outcast. I really need this vacation to clear my head and meet and reconnect with people from my extended family on the road.

Any advice would be quite helpful. I haven't hit a fest in over 6 years ans I know the landscape is changing. I just want to have a good time without much if any hassle.

Im also an ultra noob planing on heading down to miami this march.

I'll be there aswell.
Check out Camp Neon, and Burn Neon. They are a few states up north and it's invite only but the community is absolutely the best. message me for details ill be mixin

Not sure if I'm allowed to mention their name here but an org call d*nc*s*f* provides testing onsite at ultra. Not sure if they will be there 2014. I wished they were there at NY ezoo 2013, sad stuff when kids do dumb things. Plenty of office bees come to ultra, believe it or not. Have fun, keep an open mind. Stay on south beach b/c there will be plenty of fly-by-night bus/taxi operations that bring ppl to bay front. I suggest staying below 30th street.

Go to a better festival
Jk I just couldn't stand the price of everything, when I go to festivals I like to camp outside and be disconnected from the world.
But yea there should be drug testing booths there but the lineup will probably be long, and bringing your own kits is a hassle with finding a place to test your stuff on.
If you haven't hit a festival in six years this will be a huge change, ultra seems to be ultra commercialized (pun somewhat intended)
