A Watford man died after the "legal high" he had been smoking caused his lungs to bleed, starving his brain of oxygen. Jeremy Glasspool was discovered dead by his father on September 16, in Sheraton Mews, Gade Avenue. In his flat were seven packets of synthetic cannabis, known as a "legal high", and evidence he had been smoking it. The substance is made in a laboratory and mimics the effects of smoking cannabis, but is undetectable by normal blood tests and is freely, and legally, available to buy on the internet.

Fuck, what a shit way to die. I hope I live to see the day weed becomes legal all over the planet.
RIP to that guy, feel bad for his family.
 
The pathologist stated my son would not have been aware of any symptoms or had warning of any problem. Even if he had gone to hospital they would not have been able to detect this was about to happen. Death was instant. Anyone smoking this should be aware of this. They could be next. Would my son still be alive if Legal Highs were banned and cannabis made legal? There can only be one answer.

If cannabis were legal, there would be no more synthetic cannabis ("legal highs"), because people would have no reason to use them, especially given the questionable safety profile of most or all of them...
 
Sad story.

Though most likely caused by adulterants in whatever he was smoking. Is there any even evidence it was supposed to be a synthetic cannabinoid, or is that just what the news felt like bashing today?

I know a lot of the synthetic canabinoids are crap, and possibly dangerous, but I've never heard of something this gruesome being caused by them before. Oh well. Just another reason why I've never tried them and never will.
