DRUG dealers are cashing in on the party season by peddling potentially lethal legal highs - in Christmas stockings.
Festive parcels of the drugs - which mimic the effects of cocaine, ecstasy and magic mushrooms - are being pushed on the internet.
A £99.99 "Christmas and New Year's Eve Party Pack" contains ten different drugs - one of them a legal high called Blu-e, billed as an alternative to ecstasy.
A blurb on the website boasts the drug has "no comedown and still has positive effects". Another drug is Druid's Fantasy, a substitute for magic mushrooms.
Its effects include "giggling at things that aren't funny" and "making colours appear brighter". But the drug can trigger diarrhoea and vomiting.
The site promises that drugs in stockings and Christmas wrapping will be disguised in "discreet packaging".
Chris Hudson, spokesman for anti-drug campaign FRANK, warned: "These are not a safer alternative to illegal drugs."
Tom Pinder, of the charity Say No, said: "It's astonishing that anyone can log on and buy something like this."
