Anyone in the UK should be aware that customs and the police are seizing any box's they find containing powered mimosa root bark and trying to follow up with prosecutions for possession of a class A drug.

No, they don't have anything better to do with their time.

But it isn't a Class A drug (nor illegal or controlled in any way whatsoever) so surely any prosecutions would be thrown out? You should even get your parcel back as you haven't broken any laws but good luck with that.

Customs and police are saying because it's powdered it's a "preparation of a class A drug". Main UK seller has had to stop selling mimosa for the time being as he can't guarantee it won't get seized.

the last bit there made me laugh- it takes ten police to respond to a doughnut emergency

look you would have a similar issue with powdered cactus.

its too close to prepared product which is how people used to get away with fresh shrooms during the 2002/2003 uk age of mushrooms in head shops. my glory days

in the past in uk shrooms that were fresh were okay, but if powdered or dryed then they were classed as prepared and then class A. but that got changed after the mushroom explosion i experienced when in my first year of uni. mmm mushrooms

^ Doubt it, to be honest. Too minor an interest but maybe if there aren't any legit reasons for buying the powdered stuff for other purposes, I suppose.

PROZ4C: The human body also produces GHB and that's banned most places so the "it's produced naturally in everybody" thing doesn't cut it.

They might as well just make nutmeg and juniper illegal then... Seriously, there are so many things out there, I don't even see the point in trying to control drugs. People are going to do them no matter what. The fact that they are illegal does not really have an affect on those who want to do them, unless it makes it harder to find... Idk.

^I agree, it's completely and utterly pathetic, but such are the spiritually bereft ways of the heirarchy of control.

Like the fact that marijuana has amazing medicinal values, such as it's ability to shrink tumors before your eyes, and completely rid of cancer. The government has known since 1974. Google it, if you don't know about this. The DEA needs to fuck off and at least consider the options. I feel like, as a country, where I live in the United States, we need to debate and discuss issues, laws, or whatever the circumstance may be as a group, or an UNITED nation. Consider the fucking pros and cons before you dismiss something entirely.

Apparently its very suitable for making natural dyes.

I think that the UK should declare a war on Alcohol instead, it would save their livers.

Wait no. Scratch that. Let people do whatever the fuck they want.
