Selling weed I couldn't care less. Unless you are buying ounces or pounds, a 20 or 50 bag is often eye balled. This is acceptable as people will pay double for good quality weed of the same weight over sticks and twigs.

When dealing in pharmaceuticals however an 8th should be 3.5g. That's why you carry your own scales and watch them bag them up while you share a tea or coffee.

My question, I know to be a pharmacist you would need an accreditation with a body like GPC, and they probably wouldn't entertain it as of the afforementioned conviction, would the pharmacology industry as a whole be on a similar understanding or is there a possibility of getting a position with someone like Pfizer and becoming a research pharmacologist etc with this conviction.

I'm doing something very similar at the moment, hoping to work in research eventually. It's a great subject to study, I love it.
As far as the private sector employment goes, I'm pretty sure there are standard employment guidelines & practices about disclosure and not sure if you have to disclose a conviction or after a period of time you dont have to?

damn right. I started my degree wanting to aim for pharma but i think now im more interested in life sciences / human cell biology / neurobiology etc.

the big pharma companies seem to be universally corrupt and definately have a problem with ethics, getting fined on a regular basis and so on.

i couldnt work for cunts like that. dont think i could handle all the smoking beagles in the lab either.

Scotland mate. Have noticed much of a difference in price in different areas tbh.... the exception being Aberdeen, which was slightly pricey-er than Edinburgh/Glasgow for the standard high grade stuff that most people sell, as you might expect seeing as fucking everything is expensive up there (£20 would get you 1.5-1.8g in Aberdeen, rather than 2-2.5g). But I've also had £140/ounce lower grade weed up there that I haven't come across elsewhere, so swings and roundabouts.

You are totally a man after my own heart SHM. Travelling wise, politics wise, intoxicant wise, humour wise, Doonsbury wise. When i get to Europe in late Jan we shall have to catch up for a pint or perhaps something more exotic :)

Where abouts are you bud? Don't worry if you don't want to be specific and say, it's just I have friends in Poble-Sec I used to spend loads of time with when I used to get out - for such a big city it's just beautiful and perfect. Love the place. They only lived about 10 mins walk from Montjuic and the Olympic Park so there was always nice places to poss at with picnic and beers without even having to go more central or down to the beaches.

I'm really central Stee, just off the Ramblas, very near International House if you know where that is. Today we are going to see Lizas other sister who lives down near the sea.

Be a pleasure to meet anytime Mr Consumer and yes, glad your mum is on the mend too.
 
Don't know it but I am of course at least really familiar with the epic length of the Ramblas if not all of it's features. That is about as central as you can get considering it's a metropolis who's 'centre' carries on for km in all directions IMO. Hope you continue to have a lovely stay and Crimbo whenever your at. I daresay the nights over there are as nippy as anywhere at the moment but are you still having nice days weather wise? The latest I was out there was in a November and all things considered the weather was fairly spot on, if not quite as scorchio as other periods x
 
In a Road called Trafalgar, off Leitana (which is off/parallel to the Ramblas) and towards the Arc de Triomph. Madonna has just bought a house around the corner apparently. Not staying for Christmas, London is calling apparently. Oh, and it's never been this cold while I've been here (and I've been many, many times). Tomorrow promises warmer weather.
