UK - Mother brands drug dealer 'coward' at inquest into daughter's drug death

Dunno about you guys, but I feel bad for the dealer.. he's looking at doing time, or having some serious people comin after him and doing a bit less time. :/

250 mg of MDMA is a very common dose and definitely nowhere near lethal for everyone but an unlucky sliver of a percent of users. This girl was very sick and no one can be blamed for her death but herself. Certainly the person who sold it to her did not know she had a major kidney infection or that she was on strong prescription medicine.

I commend Donelon for not betraying his supplier.

How much of a sentence do you have to serve in the UK before they let you out? Here it's 1/3rd as long as you where not a complete lunatic in prison. Ive seen even 6 months in prison really make people alot worse then they where going in. With all this bad press around his case they might try and make a example of him and keep the poor cunt in prison as long as they can. And yeah as you pointed out there is always the possibility of some of the harder longtimers saying to themselves "that could have been my youngster he sold them drugs to or yours. I mean who's to say it couldn't have been one of ours right?". Most prisoners aren't exactly known for rational thinking :\

Personally i think he is the only one in this case acting with some courage. He could have grassed on his dealer or dealers, probably have gotten no time at all and ran off to some part of the countryside in England or Scotland that would be far off the radar of his former partners. It's done everyday. But instead of doing that he kept his mouth shut and is doing the time probably knowing all to well what could happen to him anyday. The mom is the one not taking any personal responsibility here and i wonder would she feel guilty if his family got beaten to a bloody pulp, shot and/or killed after he grassed on his supplier at her request? Or would she justify it by saying to herself "that's the price you pay for dealing drugs and it's just a unfortunate incident that his family got mixed up in it."

I think you serve half your sentence as standard if you get 4 years or under and keep out of trouble in prison..

Anyone care to clarify?

You serious? :\
I am serious. He knew what he was selling. I have dealt in the past and have turned people down on the basis of looks. This was in the '80s and it was cocaine but the principle was still the same. Give them what they want but don't deal to strangers!!! It can come back to haunt you!!
