UK - Mind busting jungle drug hits UK

Where did they get the "linked to schizophrenia" and "flash-backs" idea from?

irrc, endogenous DMT and other related tryptamines were found in higher concentrations in urine samples from people suffering with schizophrenia during the 60's, so some people looked into the idea of a tryptamine hypothesis of schizophrenia. I'm pretty sure it was later discredited though, and the dopamine and glutamate hypothesis took centre stage.

Mind-busting jungle drug indeed. I think life would be a lot more interesting if, from now on, drugs were all described with abstract, poetic catch phrases.

Viagra: nut-busting erection concoction
Ecstasy: sweaty massage warehouse pill
Heroin: Valuables-vanishing couch liquid

why are you telling some one they are wrong if you are not willing to look up the law on it?

this thread is titles "UK - Mind busting jungle drug hits UK", the discussion is about DMT in the UK and coltdan is from the UK where it is legal to import mimsoa hostilis. so you are wrong.

thankyou. it appears coolio can type ok, but he needs to learn to read.

how is Bruce Parry even able to talk on DMT? every time i do that stuff im not even aware i have a body, if my eyes are open or shut, let alone be able to talk

mimsoa hostilis is legal, why would they cease it

Because its well known that it contains DMT, and if anyone is attempting to import 126 kilos of the bark (which is well known for the extraction of DMT), it could be construed to being seen as the conspiracy to manufacture DMT. Why wouldn't the government seize it?

I mean didn't the UK end up seizing large amounts of mephedrone in individual cases before the ban? I can't remember any off the top of my head, but I'm sure I remember this happening.

126 kilos? im sure far more than that gets imported into the UK a year without a problem, and has done for a long time. you can easily buy it off ebay legally from UK sellers. its never been a problem before

Uh, no it isn't. Where did you get that impression? I'm not going to bother looking up the UK laws on the subject, but in the US anything which is a carrier material for a schedule I substance is itself considered a schedule I substance at its full weight. That means LSD on blotter paper, you get charged for possession of the weight of the paper as if it were LSD; with mimosa hostilis, in the USA, if you're arrested for that it's the same as being arrested for pure N,N-DMT; San Pedro cactus is illegal once law enforcement has any shred of evidence that you knew it contained mescaline; etc.

I am pretty sure mimosa hostilis is legal in the United States. I've know several people who ordered it online from relatively legit sources (they didn't look as shaddy as typical RC vendors).

I am sure cops could easily fuck you up if they caught you with it, but that doesn't mean it's explicitly illegal. From my understanding of US drug laws in the states - the cops are always right unless you're well connected and/or have a lot of money.

For instance, if you try and sell a kilo of sugar as coke, you can be charged as if that sugar really was coke. Law/justice is really not a consideration here.

Makes me wonder whether the psychedelic revolution WILL come about in my life time. Then again, gay sex was illegal 50 years ago, now it's widely accepted. Perhaps we need to make our voices heard and start publishing tonnes of books until we cannot be denied any longer.

They talk about Schizophrenia like it's a fully understood concept, immediately dismiss the afterlife phenomenon, mention little of its historic usage and give no regard to the benefits it's had on so many life's (including mine).

I'm going to start smoking grass & thinking about how this nonsense might end.

Fuck it would be awsome if DMT every really did become a common street drug, it would save me alot of work.

How many different drugs is the UK be flooded with now?! We should be neck-deep in about every drug known to man…

All I get from this story is 126 kilos of DMT being imported!

Didn't realise there was that much demand for it.

Lol and I thought the media here in the us was bad when it came to bs drug journelism but to uk far surpasses it.

I'd think the fact that the uk is primarly a non-religious nation would mean there would be allot less of this anti-drug idiotcy.

you'd think, unfortunately it's run by the same capitalist fucktards that want to bring shame to anyone who is actually educated enough to think for themselves.

The fact the media preys upon the uneducated in order to sell a story makes them nothing more than a set of incompetent illiterate misguided fools themselves because ultimately they spin so much bullshit that ultimately they end up believing it themselves.
