A TEENAGER plunged to his death from a fourth-floor window after taking a powerful hallucinogenic drug. Rikki Green, 17, smoked salvia, a legal high, through a bong before jumping out of the window moments later.

Detective Constable Daryl Donoghue, of Hastings CID, said, “The two men who Rikki was with should have supervised him but did not. Salvia is similar to LSD and is a hallucinogenic drug but is legal to buy.”

god the sitters must feel terrible
not saying they shouldn't but you never know
kinda hard when someone just jumps out of the window in an instant

The police guy said, "The two men who Rikki was with should have supervised him but did not", which indicates Rikki was alone when he jumped.

This is the first UK Salvia-related death I am aware of and now the media are going to be goading parents to call for an outright ban instead of a more sensible way of managing the risk such as restricting the venue to where there are experienced sitters.

im sure he stumbled or fell out of the window instead of jumped. windows dont even exist on salvia

"im sure he stumbled or fell out of the window instead of jumped. windows dont even exist on salvia"

I've been there enough times to know what you mean. And AFAIK I've never tried to get up and leave, or jump out anything, during my episodes. I've mostly just laid there on the bed from what I have been told.

BUT, I have sat enough people, enough times, in enough environments, to know that going for the window is common on salvia.

Don't ask me why, or how they know the window is even there. But I have seen nearly 10 different people go for the window on salvia(only one of these times were we above the 1st floor), and the way they've done it...leaves no doubt in my mind they were GOING for the window...it wasn't just random. The climbed over obstacles and reached for it.

Maybe its the light, maybe their mind knows that is how to escape, I don't know. But it definitely makes people go for the window. Usually the people who go for the window have had the most frightening and violent visions also...

And Mrgrunge...that's what I said also.

Salvia is about as similiar to LSD as getting shot in the head to being stung by a bee. They both hurt, but one of them you'll never know what happened and it will be over quickly.(ok lsd doesn't hurt, but salvia is a drug I view with much pain)

I watched about 3 examples of a salvia trip on youtube and one of them went for the window but was pulled back by hes sitters

Yeah...I mean more trips than not everything went OK, no one did anything too crazy. But I have seen it enough times to be ready for it, to expect it, and to know its not random. I've seem em zombie over to do the door too after being pulled back from the window...I really think its just their subconscious trying to escape.
