A TEENAGER told yesterday how the party drug that killed a festival goer left her so crazed she pranced naked in TESCO.

Shamed Katie Wilson, 19, said after cops raced to arrest her: “They thought I was a heroin addict. “I’m horrified the drug made me become something I’m not. “I was parading through the Tesco aisles like a catwalk diva. “It was terrifying. I had chewed a pen so it looked like I had black teeth — and I had drawings all over my body.”

Shop worker Katie, who describes herself as a respectable BMW driver, took the “legal high” called Benzo Fury at a pal’s home. She found herself TRASHING the flat, STUMBLING up the road — then cavorting STARKERS at the Tesco in Bourne, Lincs. When cops arrived she karate-kicked one in the face — before booting the patrol car’s wing mirror off as she was taken away in cuffs.

Last weekend the same £10 drug — which can be bought on the internet — killed Alex Herriot, 19, at the RockNess music festival in Scotland. Katie, of Deeping St James, Lincs, admitted outraging public decency and criminal damage at Grantham Magistrates’ Court. She got a conditional discharge and £200 fine. Katie warned those tempted to try the drug: “It can do you real damage. I don’t want others to make the mistake I did.”

It's another case of someone allegedly taking a "legal high" and doing crazy stuff while naked.

Anyone for a conspiracy theory as to why there is a spate of this happening? How about this one, psychotronics technology ? 8o

I don't know if the reporter added the word "respectable" to this, but it tells you just how far you can trust the article.
I don't know why the make of car should be relevant..

A mysterious drug named 'benzo' (would have thought they'd keep the 'fury' bit for added shock horror!), unless they're vaguely referencing etizolam? Or just totally full of it....

Katie Wilson also karate-kicked a police officer in the face and smashed up a police car as she was taken away from the supermarket.

The 19-year-old was mistaken for a heroin addict after stripping off and walking barefoot into Tesco in the middle of the afternoon, after taking the £10 party drug with friends.

After she was hauled before court and fined for her antics, she warned other teenagers not to take the drug.

‘It is very dangerous and it can do you real damage – I don’t want others to make the same mistake I did,’ the shop assistant said.

She spoke out days after Benzo was blamed for the death of Edinburgh teenager Alex Herriot at the RockNess festival in Scotland.

Wilson insisted she was a ‘hard-working, decent girl’ and claimed she could recall little of what happened in Tesco in Bourne, Lincolnshire, last month.

She said: ‘I was an absolute mess. I trashed my friend’s flat and then I just walked out of the flat, stumbled up the road and went into the store.

‘I was parading through the Tesco aisles like a catwalk diva. I was a disgrace. I had chewed a pen so it looked like I had black teeth and I had drawings all over my body.’

Yesterday, she was fined £200 and given a one-year conditional discharge at Grantham magistrates’ court.

She could just as easily have done the same after a few too many drinks. Some people just can't handle disinhibition.

I'd put money on her having had a few too many drinks in her alongside the 6-apb. She was probably pissed and someone said "hey take this!" and gave a pellet.
 
I like how they call it a killer legal high because someone died from it.

That makes alcohol a killer legal high.
 
Of course, the article doesn't state her dosage or any other drugs she may have been taking at the time. Perhaps she was already wasted when she dropped the pellet?

I done something similar about 15 years ago.
Had been drinking all day in the pub and somehow ended up in supermarket climbing in the open top freezers throwing bags of frozen peas around the shop.
When the manager came to ask what was i doing I apparently told him I wanted some rice and that it had to be Uncle Bens or I was gonna trash the place.
Needless to say I spent the rest of the day in the police cells.
Good times.

Exactly. She sounds like the sort of person who binge drinks every weekend at some shitty club. I very much doubt she forwent her usual heroic dose of alcohol because she was taking 'benzo fury' (the vendors' stupid, stupid name for 6-apb).

I know I'm making assumptions here, but we're talking about someone who assumed that people would be impressed by her ability to own a German car.

If she's 19 and just works as a shop assistant but has a nice car then she's most likely just from a middle class family and her parents bought the car and pay for her insurance so that wouldn't even make her 'hard working'.

Katie has been on Facebook to say it's all lies and she's never even spoken to the press.... she still looks like trash though!
