UK - Face it ....the drugs don't work

The real sad thing here is that the money spent putting these people in jail and through the justice system for a decade could have been spent on investing in ways to prevent them from becoming like this. Our fear of drugs has saved no one.
 
addicts could have access to vital health and addiction information, and support and services when they decide to quit. and less young people try heroin once it's "medicalized" (see countries that have decriminalized it and/or have heroin clinics). during alcohol prohibition, alcohol was an entirely different drug.

it's prohibition... and even many drug using bluelighters sometimes don't want to legalize (except for weed)...

Really? I don't think many I know would. Then again they're functional addicts that don't break the law besides to purchase and use.

I hope the people pictured gave their consent.
 
I am sorry but I just do not see drugs doing this to someone. I have been using for the past 10 years straight except for a 7 month prison break, and I do NOT look anything like those people, I don't know anyone who uses that looks like those people, I could only imagine that they are either doing VERY cheap impure drugs or just living a hard life on the streets which I believe was already mentioned.

all the ones i know are employed middle-class types, incl myself, tho i don't use very often. i've yet to come across an actual junkie but i don't seek them out either

Also they are simply taking pictures to show the effects of meth use.. I guarantee you meth isn't making anyone look better

honestly i don't know anyone who looks that bad from meth use, even people using for 20+yrs... those pictures always remind me of homeless people who don't take care of themselves.. anyone who stays up for days at a time without food, living on the streets probably isn't going to look too sexy. adding meth to that certainly doesn't help but isn't the sole cause for their appearance
