Mixmag's annual survey identifies trends in recreational drug use. The Guardian and Global Drug Survey are partners for 2011-12.

Why do people take drugs, how often do they take them, and what are the medical, social and legal consequences of their drug use?

Mixmag – the dance music magazine – has been providing robust answers to these questions with its annual drug survey. Largely – though not exclusively – focused on young people, it has identified important trends in the way people consume drugs over the past decade.

What a crap survey…

Psychedelic spelt 'Psychodelic'… LSD spelt, "LDS"… only 31 days in a row maximum for Ketamine use… ;)

Also differentiates between speed and base. Same drug IMO. Same goes for MDMA powder and ecstasy pills…

Yeah I noticed those couple of typos. Still, a couple of typos can happen... not the end of the world. Of course, they are best avoided!

As for the drug categories, some people perceive speed and base to be very different - in terms of their purity, how they are used, their texture... even if they are both amphetamine. Same with pills versus MD powder/caps, should be the same chemical involved, but they are often sold at different prices (premium price for MD powder/caps than for pills). Given they are asking about market trends, doesn't surprise me that they have made these distinctions.

they are aiming this at people who are on bluelight, shroomery, drugs-forum and other drugs forums,

How many people have heard of half the stuff they take? How many people who are non educated not even realise that mdma is whats in pills lol

Exactly, mate.

Also, many people on here test their pills so they know they have MDMA (or MDA I suppose?) in their pills.

Some people dont like pills at all and just make mdma capsules :D
(Unless they are imported from other countries...)

If it Aint Dutch
It aint much!

Well.. I know the guy running the survey. He is aiming a lot wider than folks who use forums. Hence the article in The Guardian which is reaching a mainstream audience.

Dr Winstock is very much interested in understanding trends in emerging psychoactive drugs so not surprised to see the long list of substances in his survey!
