UK - Driving on a legit script of Methadone/Bupe

Suppose to inform the DVLA if you're on maintence. My friend read somewhere it's best keeeping your mouth shut about being on these drugs to the DVLA but you ARE suppose to declare it. What are the chances though of being pulled over and suspected drugs if you are just sticking to your script as it don't seem that random.

Mate just got on Bupe but he takes 5mg diaz (ILLEGALLY) as he is trying to wean off. He would never drive fucked or if it afffected his driving seriously. His mum often compliments his driving etc so he knows he's ok.

So did you guys declare or not?
