He was charged with farming the drug after stunned police raided his home following a tip off about a burglary.

The youngster was just one of 12,589 children under the age of 16 to have been arrested for drug-related offences in the past three years, figures released under the Freedom of Information Act showed.

The cannabis farmer, from Quinton, Birmingham, was held in June 2008 and charged with the production of cannabis.

The drug was upgraded from class C to a class B in 2009.

These young offenders should be sterilised. Nip the problem in the bud. Can you honestly imagine they're fit to be parents?

How does a 10-year old possess a home? I've seen young kids in charge of a property before, but 10 seems a bit too young.

I haven't read this but will later as i'll pick uip a copy of the metro .

But so far i think the kid must be pretty damn clever & disciplined if hev managed to set up a propewr grow on his own.

I suspect that he had help n we aren't ever gonna get the whole truth

That 'reader comment' is hilarious. If the kid was 14, that's all I would need to know to assume he isn't fit to raise kids.

Some of the reader comments are truly horrifying. Sterilizing children for smoking bud?! The fact that people like that exist is enough to make me lose sleep at night

if it can be proved that they knew what they were doing was wrong.

the drugs-are-bad-mkay broken record was funny at first, but nowadays i find it real taxing, tiring
