UH oH, Basic favorite exercise Thread!?

I honestly think 605 is just the beginning so I'm gonna keep practicing at this point and working on my other lifts. i think a little more rep work and i'll be hitting 675 in ~2 or 3 months which is pretty respectable. There's something about the deadlift that I just excel at.. no idea why considering I'm so tall and I use conventional stance.. its a long ass way to pull.

also.. i have a 10 week paid vacation from work comin up in a few weeks.. I think I'll see some incredible gains during those 10 weeks if I really step up my training.

anyway its leg day.. im out haha

i'm not sure i actually hit 495x8 last time.. it was so intense i lost count but it was 8 for sure this time and it was craaazy. puts my new max at about 620 hopefully. i'll try for 495x9 next week
 
damn man, you have me fucking FIENDING to get my gym setup again....only ~1wk!!

When do you think you'll try another 1rm?
 
I'm 25, been training seriously for 19 months

I think I'll work my way up to 585x6 (6 plates per side) over the next month, then I'll jump my max from 605 (last time I maxed) to 675 (7 plates per side).

I don't get a lot of growth out of maxing for all the effort I have to put into it. I get insane growth every time I go for reps to failure.

these sets are just insanely brutal.. i cant even express it in words but basically i feel like a week's worth of gas is burned in those 9 reps.. it takes everything i've got to rep it out then collapse to my knees shaking.. insane.
 
Whoever says that squatting is their favorite exercise is lying. Period.

I like clean and press and bent over rows.

lol freejr thats messed up but funny. Aanallein if you dont mind me asking are you taking any supplements? if so what kind. Also, you have never taken HGH or any similar steroids, correct?
 
I take:
protein powder
creatine monohydrate 7g /day
l-glutamine 7g /day
multivitamin
fishoil/flaxseed oil
zma
melatonin

I've never taken any steroids, hgh, or any prohormones before.
 
^ Man you are a beast for all natural. Very, very impressive. What does your diet look like? Like how many meals, and calories? What are your macros?

Lol, even though I'm sure this is a joke, the answer is no. I didn't say I don't squat. I do. But squatting is the only exercise that can make me throw up and feel nauseated. I'm not a fan of either of those feelings.
 
try lowering the weight and slowing down the motion to rip every individual muscle fiber to its max if you havent already. Many a trainer may tell you' slow steady form(if not already achieved) is a million times more beneficial then higher weight.
 
I don't do high weight and my form is good (atg). I do do 20 reps, though. The squat just sucks. I'm sure everyone has that one exercise they dread going to the gym for. Squat is mine. Squat is probably most people's they are just lying because it sounds cool. You all know you love the bench press. Or the ab machine. Probably spend an hour on each every day then go home... :-D

at the moment its just 6-7 meals a day stuffing down as much as i can. mainly oatmeal, protein powder, burritos, chicken, rice, etc.. probably 6k cals a day on average.

Dude I take back what I said in the "Do you get sore?" thread. If you're not getting sore from that session, I guess you really just won't get sore! And 6000 Cals! Man I struggle to get down 3000 clean (I am basically half your size though!). Good work man. I haven't read too many of your posts, are you BB'ing or are you powerlifting?
