ugly fish bowl

i can see it all,
a large circle encompassing all,
entertwining lines inside.
so hard to look inside,
so easy to deceive yourself
in external delusions.
we see the cycles over and over,
we fight against them daily,
desire to pleasure, to attachment
to pain, to violence.
we start from the start,
fall back onto the ego
the easy option,
to re-create the self,
move higher,
to climb the social ladder...
what for?
we're going in the wrong direction,
for now anyway...
until society jig zags back unto logic
and we start it all over again.
