the internet has gotten scary in the noughties, it used to be the wild west, nowadays you might as well be in court. Everything is on the record.

What happened to zophen? Or our dear MXE genius?

I'm doing just fine, been around the globe and back. PM me for more secure ways to say hello. :)

I definitely remember you! A blast from the past. Zophen/B9 is alive and well, but doesn't really post, and I believe the bulbous one is alive and well. Nice to see you posting!
 
I'm so glad to hear both Zophen and Bulbous are alive and well. I had heard a rumour a few months ago that B9 had passed away.Too BLers have been lost!

Again, the internet is a scary place these days and there is so little I feel can be posted safely and it seriously hampers forum posting.

PS I'm glad you're alive and well too Treacle and Snolly =D (but I already knew that :) )
 
As I didnt even start lurking in here untill 2002/2003 I dont remember you Tyler, so all I can say is welcome back, Im Stephen, pleased to meet you.

Have you been on the move the whole time you have been away from the forum (?), 'around the globe' sounds far too interesting not to ask where you have actually been, if you excuse my nosiness.
 
Well I moved away from EMEA, so lurked a bit on the APAC side of bluelight, and actually met one or two friends IRL. Then kinda faded away from BL altogether, not even lurking. Today I won't even visit this place not from behind TOR. Everyone old-schoold on the net and into tech has gotten a wee bit chronically paranoid, one doesn't know anymore if the paranoia is caused by the internets or the chemicals, or most probably neither, LE is the sole cause.

LE, the drug war is not biopolitical (a logic of human husbandry: we need productive people who aren't intoxicated), it is a logic of nihilistic predation, the horror of security which knows no ends, only eternal means, a permanent beta phase of predation.
But sorry I'm rambling, its all good this side really :)
