this isn't a stupid question, but a completly valid one.
The answer is yes, it does have recreational value.
Tylenol 4 consist of x amount of APAP and 60mg of Codiene Phosphate.
Codiene is a true opiate, nearly all opiates are great drugs. For a person with no tolerance the dose range should be between 60mg - 130mg for a nice ride. For someone with a moderate tolerance it can be over 200mg. And if you have a huge tolerance....why bother, Codiene strong enough for someone with huge tolerance.

I seem to like a codiene high every once in awhile! (and I am a steady opiate user) I tend to use it when I start my cycle back up..am seem to just collect it when I'm binging..haha
Yeah! if you are a non-tolerant person two and you should be fine, for the first couple days then your tolerance will quickly build, just put them in the medicine cabinet or wherever you keep your drugs after a day or two of use or you will just waste them
 
Codiene I find to be the least potent opiate. I would say take 2-3 of those pills and snort one for a very nice buzz (with no tolerance) and for those not so interested in being fucked up lessen that up a bit.

do NOT snort them. putting all that APAP up your nostrils is not worth it.
 
Codeine is a decent opiate, but it seems to cause the most side effects (intense itching, constipation) and also gives me the most body load (not in an "opiate" good way).
I would take tramadol over codeine anyday, but still codeine can be tons of fun.
 
It is pretty weak. I would hold on to them for a time when you run dry. They are good for withdraws, and weaning down
 
iLL_LoGiC - are you from canada or somewhere besides the US? Just curios because I always here about those over the counter codiene pills with caffiene from up there
I not sure but I don't think tylenol 4 has caffiene
 
i've never had tylenol 4.. only tylenol 3.. which doesnt hit me to hard anymore.. i got these new pills tho.. they're Aspirin 325mg / Butalbital 50mg / Caffeine 40mg / Codeine Phosphate 30mg... they dont seem too bad.. but im not sure exactly.. seem a bit like tylenol 3 only with asprin instead..

and butalbital is a barbiturate.. so be careful about taking too many of those at once, they could easily oversedate you.
true about t4's having no caffeine. 60 mg is generally considered the maximum effective amount of codeine for pain relief; any more, and the 'side effects' (which may or may not be fun) increase while the analgesic level remains about the same.
so, in a medical setting, you'd generally get either 2 T3s or a T4. at that level, the acetaminophen isn't going to be doing all that much anyway -- but T4s seem to be relatively rare, because they're essentially equivalent to two T3s.
