i've come across two strengths of acid, a light one that doesn't really draw you in but is fun and i would imagine great to do at parties. then there is the heavy kind that some might call 'proper' acid that gives you the ego loss and an all-round intense head-fuck. i read alot of people here going on about doing lsd at parties but what kind are you talking about? maybe there are more than to kinds and a complete range of strengths are available.

With acid there are different concentrations, different amounts of impurities, and different chemicals.

While it's possible, I really don't think you're going to actually find ALD-52 for two reasons. 1) it's weaker than LSD-25. 2) you have to make LSD-25 then do some more work to get ALD-52, so it's an extra step.
I have found DOB on blotter on two seperate occassions, though.

DOB is definantly the mother of psychedelics, but it's more like 12-16 hours. An overdose of DOM can last up to 72 hours, though, which is probably what you're thinking of.
I don't know what goes around now, but a few years ago there were DOM geltabs that people said contained "mescaline". DOM is like really strong good clean acid, more or less.
DOB is just like the most insane hallucinations you'll ever have. Very hard to come by. I've only had it by complete mistake being warned that it was "the best acid you'll ever have, don't take more than x amount of tabs". If you get it on blotter it'll be very unique blotter that looks like the stereotypical stuff from the 60's with intricate designs. I've had it as black geltabs one time as well. They must have had about 1mg each. Because in the group everyone took between 1-3 tabs. The effects were beyond perfectly fitting the doses, down to how the guy who took three was disassociative and itching a lot complaining of feeling cold/hot.
 
what i don't understand is how anyone can enjoy partying on strong acid - i mean its SO intense - and i'm talking about ones like 'cyborgs' and 'rockets' (blotter acid). i've had 'teletubbies' and they were really light - nothing like the others. i've seen other cartoon ones and the people i've known that used them took them at parties and in high doses which suggests that they are also light. anyone whos done lots of acid i expect will know what i'm on about.
 
This is interesting. I once had a fuckin strong trip, sold as acid. It last for fuckin AGES. And was hella strong & clean. I was also told by a number of people not to take more than 1/2. This seemed like sound advice after I ate the whole thing.

That blotter used to be (might still be, I don't trip anymore, so I don't know) incredibally common. In 1998 like everyone around the US was using that blotter and I don't at all think the acid on it was coming from the same source.
I had the same thing where I'd get it from one guy and it'd be strong and clean, another guy it'd be weak and dirty.
 
There are 3 "grades" of LSD-25 crystal used to make liquid and blotter acid:
1. Amber - the low grade, head-fuck stuff
2. Silver - The highest quality most people will see. much cleaner and certainly more towards the visual side than the head-fuck side of things.
3. White - the best of the best (unless you like getting your head messed about), super clean.

You just gotta hang out with the right people to see this. If you're really into it and find real acidheads, you'll find this. Usually "family" acid would be this quality.
 
i thought proper acid was supposed to give you a headfuck - i mean you should get an ego dissolution and your own thought processes alter.
on the strong acid i thought i was going to get lost into myself and never surface again - it was that strong - like there were these endless thoughts and no container with which to hold them. the visuals too were wild - i remember looking at a picture of some people on a field and it turned into this scene of warriors with axes battling it out. i never got anything like this (the headfuck or the wild hallcinations) from the weak acid. a friend took like 6 squares of the weak stuff and still said that it was nothing like the strong stuff.
also on a slightly different note, has anyone tried hoffmans? - i've hearn from a couple of people that they last 24 hours.
 
There is LSD that's it. Psychedelcis, and mdma and freidns, often seem like drastically different drugs at different doses, and it isn't always obvious that two pills or blotters exactly the same size contain different amounts of drugs.
No grades and impurities don't affect it, that's just dumb drug myth stuff.
Myths are myths because they make sense...
 
The first time I took it on the single blotter tab, I guess I will never be absolutely sure. I've used LSD over 175 times. I've used just about every psychedelic you can imagine. There was nothing else it could have been. And you can 30 hits of acid and you won't see people that aren't there or be able to pick up and hold objects you're hallucinating and throw them against a wall watching them shatter. I've had some crazy experiences mixing drugs or with 2-CT-2 (insufflated) or shrooms, but this was a step beyond.
The second time I took it, it was verified as best as possible without seeing the guy make it. It was the exact same experience I had with the blotter. The range of the effects was absolutely 100% perfect, so I was pretty much able to assess the dosages.
