tv: you can't do that on television

I was talking to this hawt chick tonight about this show and I think it was my favourite show as a kid on the ABC after school!

it was right along with Peter Russel Clarks Cheese show!

who's this hawt chick you were talking to? i was talking to some sexy stud about the same show tonight.

oh peter (g'day) russell (g'day) clarke!

loved watching this show too, not exactly an intellectual adventure like my parents wished i was watching but entertaining
i liked barf.

barf, thats it!

he made Barf Burgers didnt he ?

there was a firing squad that never actually fired, he kept gettting interuped and saying "wait wait wait wait"

^^^
LOL!!! I remembered that =D

I think the same guy was in almost every scene, the guy who was barf.
He also played the Drunk dad that kinda reminded me of homer simpson.
And he also played the producer guy with the headphones on his ears.

This show definitely needs to be on DVD

OH MY GOD!!!! I USED TO LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!

Bella i think we both used to spend countless afternoons watching the Afternoon Show on ABC with James Valentine lol....and then Michael Tunn haha

They'd be making comments about him and then he'd lean through the window and say "i heeeaaard that!"

Alanic Morrissette used to be on this show too.

(unfortunately no 'hey dude')

all i can remeber is the cook at the burger place and the opening credits where they build the kids in some factory and then drove em off to the tv studio, crazy shit.

Ah so many great sketches... The firing squad, the slime, the dysfunctional family, the ratburgers in the lunch cafeteria, the pimple exploding on the mirror...

Ahh nostalgia :)

They'd better release YCDTOTV in that rewimd DVD section. Being only 22 I guess my memories of this show might be a bit hazier than other people posting but I can still remember the opening credits clearly, cracked face, school bus and the tune... Da da dada da da da da dant, doodle doot dootle doot doodle doot doot do dé... Well that's my interpretation anyways...

I remember me and a friend actually spent week petitioning ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission) to put this and Monkey Magic back on TV when we were 15. We made up hundreds of fake emails and sent them slightly different messages every time. They put Monkey back on (that was a proud moment for me - yes, Australia, you have an annoying 15 year old version of me to thank for that) but would not put YCDTOTV back on... Bastards...

It's hard to believe that Alasdair went from the shortest boy on the show, to the tallest boy on the show! 8o
