What do you guys think? This may be one of the most demented shows on television. It took me awhile to warm up to it but I understand all of it's brilliance now. Putting it into words is too hard, so I'll let the videos speak for themselves.

Oh, and it's on adult swim like every night too.
 
It is the most retarded show ever!

How much DXM do you have to take before it makes sense and starts being funny.
 
ok, the show is kind of creepy....

but the "Doo-dah-doo-doo" is freaking hilarious. i literally peed my pants when i saw that.
 
You guys all need to shutup. Tim and eric awesome show is an acquired taste. I fucking love tim and eric, favorite episode? Mine is probably brownie mountain. I love all caps it just makes people a little bit less settled because they hear me yelling in thier mind.

its definitely the type of comedy you have to be born liking or really try to get it and be successful. Me, I fell in love with this show the second I saw it. Its like someone took my mind and threw up in it, took it out and threw it off a building into a tv.
 
This is very advanced comedy. Almost anti humour in a way. Brilliance lies in the subtlety.
 
It's a really dumb show. I hated it at first but now there are a few skits that I think are hilarious. My fav so far is probably either "not Jacky Chan" or the clown children for rent.
 
Many of my comic friends whose opinions I respect like it a lot.

I think it smells like hot garbage.

I don't like "weird for the sake of being weird," though I acknowledge others do.
 
This show inspires the kind of hate in me that i usually reserve for racist bigots and child rapists. wat a filthy fucking worthless piece of shit.

If by "acquired taste" you mean like how getting hit over the head with a baseball bat until your brains seep out your eye sockets is an acquired taste. . .then yes, you're correct.
 
I was expecting this topic to provide some heated commentary. This is absolutely a show that you're gonna love or hate; there is no middle ground. Whoever said it was "anti-humor" was 100% on the mark.

It really reminds me of Andy Kaufman, but through an even thicker fog of absurdity.

Does everything have to make sense? This show thrives on random bullshit. The most "sense" you'll get out of this show is that after awhile, you'll start noticing how perfectly it spoofs commercials, other shows, and modern American culture. There is an underlying social commentary that does kind of get lost underneath the wackiness. The "Jim and Derrick" episode is a great example: I've never seen anyone parody MTV so spot-on, and it points out a lot of things that are wrong with other programming today without actually saying it.

I've seen this show equal parts totally trashed and completely sober, and I can make out every bit of it. No cough syrup required.

In 50 years, less than 1 percent of people will know that "Tim and Eric" existed.

In 500 years, people will STILL be wondering in amazement how the fuck one man (Kaufman) could be so fucking original and brilliant.
 
This show is wonderful when you need a barrage of utter weirdness - don't get me wrong, sometimes weirdness IS a necessity.
