Now, since this was only popular in the UK i'm not really expecting a huge response on this one. But for those of you who remember this fantastic programme, it looks like we're gonna be in for a treat over Christmas. After much speculation it's finally been revealed that the BBC are to air a 90 minute 10th anniversary eppisode.

So come on, who was your favourite character?. Your favourite quotes?. And is this one-off eppisode a mistake?, or will it be the only thing worth watching over Christmas? (except for The Wizard Of Oz of course :D )

You knew I'd be along soon. :p :D

Anna, played by the gorgeous Scottish sexy bitch Daniela Nardini:

Of COURSE the new episode won't be a mistake, it'll be brilliant. :D

I knew I could rely on you to reply :D

And yeah, Anna Forbes all the way!. She always had the best lines.

Anna-(refering to her scrounging flatmate) She's got bulemia
Jo-Like Princess Diana?
Anna-Another parasite living on my tax money!

LOL, just LOL!

And yeah, how could it possibly be a mistake making this one-off?. I hardly watch TV these days what with all these so-called reality programmes. Plus, er...I've got a life and all that =D

i loved this show when it was first on, i havent watched it since its been repeated though i dont want to think it has dated badly. not sure how the one-off follow up will work

Re: tonight's episode.

Awww poor Anna. Snorting coke in the toilets at work and being a general fuck-up. A girl after my own heart. :(

^She was amazing in that eppisode!. God, I really felt for her. Especially the part at the end where she just breaks down on the kitchen floor. Brilliant.

i don't want to think it has dated badly

I don't think it has at all, except maybe with the choice of music. But I think it captures the feel of the time, and doesn't really make it feel dated in any way. All the issues within the programme are still problems of today. And the acting still seems of the highest standard too.

but fuck...what an ending!

Yep yep. Most of the second series built up to that punch in the face, and God was it good!. And the funny thing was, I hated Milly before all that Rachel business :\

Oh, and I forgot about my second favourite: Kira

been watching the repeats theyve been doing as a build up to the christmas comeback episode, didnt really watch it when it was origianlly aired but I agree it is brilliant!

Let me get this right: My ex-flatmate... from University... had a sister... who used to know her... back when they were at school... and perhaps possibly still does know her.

Worst. Anecdote. Ever. :|

^ Uhhh yeah... you should probably go ahead and delete that. Put it out of its misery. :|

LOL. :D

But yes, Kira. A little cutey-pie, she would definitely get it fuckin' RUFF STYLE. :p =D

^LMAO ye weirdo!

She was cute, but I always found her sense of humour her most attractive feature.

(Talking about sanitary towels)
Kira-"Nah, I don't use 'em. They don't just get stuck to your knickers, they rip 'alf your pubes off an' all!"

And then there was the eppisode where she was covering Kelly whilst she was off sick. O'Donnel says goodnight to her as he walks out the office, in return she lifts her top up and flashes him behind his back. Only to have someone walk passed and get an eyefull. "God, it's hot in 'ere innit?!"

LOL!

- please put me out of my misery and tell us when this Christmas special is on.

And don't even THINK about saying it was on last week. :X

You know what? I was just wondering the same thing!. I think the reruns have come to an end now. I hope after all this hype I haven't missed it!. If not then I'm probably gonna be livin' la vida loca with you and various other bluelighters by the time they do air it anyway :\

I'll do some research when I'm less pished and get back to you =D

EDIT: Wikipedia tells me it's to be aired on the 2nd of January :D

Don't Forget...!

TONIGHT @ 2100 IN THE UK!!!

This Life Ten Years On
9:00pm - 10:20pm
BBC2
VIDEO Plus+: 5616666

Nine years after we last dropped in on their restless urban angst-party, the all-bitching, all-boffing London housemates are back for another bout of superlative 20-something melodrama. Except this time, of course, Anna and co are no longer 20-something. Nor, in fact, do they remain housemates, the winds of change having swept them along. While Egg is now a successful novelist, arrogant Miles is a hotelier with a house - a very big house - in the country. In this special, penned by This Life creator Amy Jenkins and broadcast to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the iconic drama's debut, the friends reunite for the funeral of one of their former housemates. Secrets, lies and, naturally, sex ensue.

Thanks Felix!. I forgot all about it 8) =D . There's been too much insanity in my life over the last week for me to have remembered. We'll discuss in detail tommorow :)
