TV: The OC [merged]

It started in Australia tonight, me and a group of about 10 friends sat down and loved every minute of it :D. Can't wait for 8.30 next Tuesday! The general consensus (between the gals) is that Seth is the favourite, followed closely by Ryan. As for the girls in the show, there's just too much eye candy to choose from!! Marissa is gorgeous but yeh, she definitely needs a good feed.
 
I saw maybe about 5mins of it here in oz and yeah, it blows. Its like a mix between 90210, dawsons creek and one of those expensive perfume ads. I'm kinda past seeing chicks on tv with so much makeup u need a chizel to scrap it off.
 
sad to say i am hopelessly addicted to this show.
i couldn't wait for what was gonna happen next week, so i bought the entire series off ebay.

just kill me now
 
I havnt had a chance to see this show yet but I can tell by the previews and the references of likeness's of dawsons creek, 90210 and melrose place i would definatly be addicted..
 
i've seen two episodes... one of them featured an argument between the perky-eyed girl (sorry, no names!) and her 'mother'.

well, i'm not saying anything about the age standards that production companies feel they must meet to draw in an audience, but that 'mother' must have been all of 8 when she had the child :D
 
okay so im in the minority here i guess.

i was told by a friend today to watch this cos it's sooooo GOOD! so i did, and um, nup. not a fan. think it's because it's not quite cheesy enough to be funny/appealing and *definitely* not good enough to be quality viewing.

i dont see the appeal in Ryan's character either (he just dont do it for me - like at all- think he majorly lacks charm or something) i mean he pulls off that puppy dog look well, but that's all he does, and the expression never changes... and i think what just really tops it off for me is that that californiaaaaa song really fucking shits me too....

but besides all that i do think that ryan's girlfriend ( i forget her name) is a real hottie!
 
I'm actually excited that they are putting it on thursdays now.. last year I kept on missing it because I work til late on wednesday nite..
 
Cool show....I like it.....IVe caught every show from bittorrent....

Pretty good story line and not many dull moments.....

It has a 90210 theme cuz its a high school drama thats alll......I think its way better than 90210 though......

But.....This is why it appeals to me

so seth took the bus to portland instead of sailing, ryan and (i forget her name) are not going to have a baby because she lied to him and said she had a misscarriage (spelling?) and instead had an abortion (or at least i think thats what happened), ryan and seth came back home, marissa is still hitten the bottle, summer says she hates seth but is so still into him, seths grandfather looks like hes gonna get into trouble with the law, sandy and kirsten (seths parents) are remodeling their house.

(sorry i just felt like giving a recap of the first episode of the new season for anybody that missed it)
 
I am confused on the whole Teresa having Ryans baby. It coudl be what you said or she is just hiding it from him but still having it. I guess we will see soon
 
The season premiere left me wishing I was on OC's and that shit makes me itch like crazy! I like this show and I hope next week redeems itself.
