tv: The O.C.

Okay, I admit it, I'm a guy and I like The O.C.

There's something about this show that just creates so much empathy for the characters, it is quite bizarre. On the surface this show appears to be a candy-coated teenie-bopper 90210 for the new millenium, but I believe it's more than that.

Will anyone else admit to watching this show?
 
I love it. I'm addicted. I will in no way say that it is a good show, or quality tv. But I'll be the first to admit, I'm glued to my tv every wednesday night.

p.s. i love seth cohen.
 
Ima guy and i fukin love the shit. Too bad i missed the last 4 episodes. I love the OC. Seth is the coolest, and ryan is kinda corny cuz all he does is grunt and shit and give mean faces. Sweet ass show though.
 
i'm addicted. but i live in the OC so that is my excuse.

we play the OC drinking game every wednesday.

Jimmy is the best but i get the feeling some shit is coming his way...they're going to vegas on wednesday - maybe he'll see his new girl working the streets.

Seth was only cool when he wasn't getting any, now that he is...bleagh. But he does play the half jew role very well - my jew fro is flowing today :)

and everyone likes it because it appeals to everyone. all the characters have some sort of flaw that makes them NOT fit in (just like the real world, everyone is just trying to be a part of the group)
 
I like it. I've only seen 3 episodes, but I really enjoy the show and would like to watch it more. I missed it tonight, but maybe it will be on later. I'll have to check the air times online.

BTW, I always HATED 90210 and Melrose Place, among others. They had absolutely no appeal to me, and still don't.
 
I love the show and i am a dude too. I have the tivo type thing and have about 15 to 20 episodes on there. hopefully the dvd comes out sometime soon so i can start deleting.
 
i saw this today, it was the episode where the guy joins the football( soccer) team. it reminded me of that movie " she's all that" and thats not a good thing, does anyone if they will have an ecstasy or ghb episode coming up, these type of shows usually do dont they? that would be worth catching .=D

i am absolutely addicted to this show~i've seen every episode~it's the best!! the drama is awesome, & it's hilarious at times. all the people are gorgeous-so what's wrong with that? personally i would rather look at eye candy~and "ryan" & "seth" are definitely *nice* to look at;)
uNivErSaL: i understand the whole empathy thing you're talking about. you can't help but to want to root for these people-even though it's a fictional show. it's hard not to be drawn in.

i'll admit it, the girls in my ballroom dance class got me into the show... it's a good break for the mind, the only thing i don't really like is the marissa-chica, i would totally overfeed her if i knew her, she is kinda sick-skinny :( ... summer is teh_hot, as are most of the other chicas in the show.

the thing i don't get in the last episode - why not put the hookers on grandpa's credit card? par-tay y'know.
 
finally just caught the finale tonight... i liked it- pretty honest about how life really works. kudos to seth for taking off on the boat, it's not like he was getting laid anyway... :)... hopefully one day i'll sail into tahiti...
 
i watched the few episodes that were re-aired tonight also. (even though i have them tivoed). seemed like there was something missing, or scenes that werent there that i saw before. i guess i gotta watch the recordings to find out, then again, they did skip around from episode to the next, that might have given me the feeling along with the massive ammount of beer consumed.
