Anyone else see the new VH1 documentary called The Drug Years? I thought it was well done and unlike most of the docs on drugs, it doesn't have any bias in it all. Interviews with Drug Free America reps and users alike, it was quite entertaining. It also goes in detail about the beginning of ecstasy, including a Phil Donahue episode from the 80's where they interview a lady who is terminaly ill with cancer who talks about her use of MDMA and how it allowed her to talk with her family about things she wouldn't have been able to if she hadn't had the mdma. And this was before it was illegal.
There is also good footage of the early Dallas Texas raves from the mid 80's. IT is actually funny to watch kids rolling balls and wearing their 80's fashions. Also when you think about the fact that this was new for everyone makes it interesting.
I've seen many docs on drugs (i think everyone has seen the one on A&E that's been on since 2001) and I must say this was the best by far.
Recommended if you happen to see it on sometime.
