This is one of my favorite cartooons. ITs so damn funny and stupid and dumb and entertaining and hilarious and ludicrous at the same time. But SpongeBob can't help looking on the bright side of life, and his positive outlook and enthusiasm about just about everything make him downright irresistible. AND he always has the best quotes:
Excuse me ... You are sitting on my face ... Which is also my body. / Squidward you're steaming. You're like a steamed vegetable, only smarter / 'Just look at him ... Square ... The shape of evil!'
and my fave by Plankton= Come back you porous freak. LOL!

Any Spongebob fans out there too?=D

Yeah. I actually love the show too. Just last weekend I saw a preview for the movie and it looks pretty awesome lol... But yeah, that show is great and I don't care what people think of me watching it! Lol. :)
 
You know, I didnt even know what spongebob squarepants was until a few months ago.

I always thought he was a moldy piece of cheese -- notice the greenish looking "holes".

OMG I saw that episode again a couple of weeks ago...funny as hell! i like the chessy techno track spongebob & the jellyfish dance to. i honestly think this cartoon is geared more towards adults...kids cannot possibly find it as funny.
 
i love em all, especially patrick . And i definitely think BARNEY is more irritating by a million miles than the Sponge. hah! I wouldnt lump Spongebob with normal kid fare such as barney (who belongs to the same mold as the Telletubbies, if you get my drift. urk.) Squidward looks like so many people, where do i even start? hehehehheh

This show is one that will appeal to adults and parents (well, it is designed to), though I don't think it is solely geared towards them. Companies know that if they create a show that appeals to both they are more likely to make a bigger profit, they aren't exactly subtle about a lot of things in the show :) . I love SpongeBob!
 
I never really thought the show was all that great. I know a lot of people who like it, but it just never appealed to me much. I've seen a few episodes from time to time. I figured I should at least give it a try but I just never liked it much. Not quite sure why. Just not my thing I guess.
 
^that happens to me too with other shows that are deemed really popular and likeable...like for example, i have never even seen an episode of South Park. Can you imagine!?!? And i can only say it just never appealed to me much ...even if my siblings and cousins and mostly everybody were spouting "carter" jokes and shit and it was almost as popular as the Simpsons at the time. I guess i have that personality trait wherein if a tv show is too popular or "out there", i usually lose interest or dont even bother watching it unless i really like something about it. Spongebob is an exception though :)
