TV: Real World - Austin, Texas

key west? I live about ten minutes north of Key Largo in Homestead/Miami. I think I'm going to drive down there and heckle some real world jackasses!

It most likely wouldn't, and that would then defeat the whole purpose as this is a TELEVISION SHOW!!!

I'm tired of this newly-cliched jaded-ass view of the 'real world' tv show. Its downright hilarious how some people are so offended because the show is called "real world" and doesn't represent All/Their backgrounds and ways of life, as if that was somehow the intent of the show. Again, its a TELEVISION SHOW for ENTERTAINMENT. Get over yourselves!

Stop acting like a tv show owes you something and either watch and enjoy or change the friggin channel.

in the same sense Hobby...Real World paved the way to reality telvision and when it did so - It REALLY was about a group of 7 very diverse people. Unfortunately we've gotten far away from that.

Still is the reason why Real World San Francisco was one of my favorite shows of all time to watch. 7 way different people.
 
gotten far away form it to seven people who fit the stereotypes that may interest viewers the most while also being the most stupid, vapid and confrontational with eachother,... oh and there must be some sort of sex appeal and lack of morals between at least one pair
 
did anyone else catch this season's reunion this week? the whole cast ripped lacey apart for always talking shit about everyone behind their back. awesome.

danny and melinda are engaged... they so deserve each other. wes and johanna are also together. i suspect they were hooking up in austin too- they just figured out how to hide from the cameras at times. there was just a lot of weird tension between them on camera- something was going on there.

overall, this season really sucked. i didn't like any of the 'characters'. the drama was minimal. i missed many of the episodes.

i started watching this show as a teenager, looking forward to my early 20s when my life would be like that too. now i am in my 20s and i look at all these people as being completely pathetic- most of them do nothing. no careers, no serious school. just lazy people who like to make themselves pretty and party. yay. that's definitely not what the real real world is like.
 
i haven't watched the Real World for a long time. but tonight i was flipping through and watched some of the reunion special. there was a very nice verbal spat between the guy in the Chav hat and the black guy. it almost seemed like a Jerry Springer episode.
 
I fucking hate almost all of these people. Danny and JOhana are okay.
They are all fucking alcoholics. It disturbs me how much these people drink, and just dont mind the fact that they look like trash on tv.
I used to love this show but its getting boring to me now. I prefer the rw/rr challenges.

me too! the new season starts tomorrow. i like seeing the old cast members... seeing how different they look, hearing about what's going on with them, and seeing them all fight. good stuff.

I actually went to see if I could find it. Half the people didn't know what the real world was, the other half didn't know where it was.
